i've been posting here a lot, but these last few weeks have been very difficult for me.
anyways, lately, i've been thinking about confessing everything i've done to the elders and going back, but deep down, i don't really think it's the truth...so my question is, what convinced you it wasn't the truth and that leaving wasn't a horrible decision that everyone in the truth makes it out to be?

This is a BIG one for us. This is actually written in the Elders manual. If some knew of this, it may have a big impact. Especially ones who have been DF'd or have had family members DF'd. The double standards and hypocrisy is through the roof!
during the proceedings of australian royal commission, as many of you, i also took time to share with the office of mr stewart, my thoughts and perspective on what what being said and not said by the witness elders on the stand.
within a day a received a reply from office of angus stewart thanking and appreciating the insight from those on the "inside".
yesterday i received a further email that my correspondence was passed on to case study 29 (jehovah's witnesses) team for their consideration.. it sounds like they are taking all our collective experience and knowledge into account as the commission continues its work..
What is so amazing about this is, almost all of us on this site (other sites as well) do not feel like our feelings and thoughts are taken into consideration. We feel as if we have no voice. I think the RC made so many feel as if someone was listening to them. FINALLY...someone was listening! We received an email in response to something we sent to Mr. Stewart. It was truly shocking to have someone actually acknowledge us. WOW! The JW's NEVER respond, they only interrogate.
Thank you Mr. Stewart and the RC. This really means so much to so many.
i`ve heard many pioneers claim that they are deserving of material things because they are the ones who make all the sacrifices.
one claimed that jehovah had made sure that she got absolutely everything she wanted right down to shelfs so she could put up pic`s of her family because, to quote "we are so deserving, we`ve made the sacrifice".
mind you this is the same sister who told me "it`s harder for me having my son d.fs than for a mother loosing her child in death".

so, hubby gets contacted today by one of the elders saying 2 of them want to pay us a visit and asks him when we are available.
we both had the heart drop feeling for a few minutes lol.
but he promptly, and politely, informed them that we are very busy but he will let them know when we are free.
Tell them that you are having financial problems or need some help with some heavy duty project around your home. You will never hear from them again!
Great response on your part. You owe them NOTHING!
evening folks, so as some of you may know we have recently decided to leave the witnesses and can see it for the man made organisation it is.
so, why do i get the urge to go back and feel guilty for not being there!
it's like my mind is telling me to be logical about it all but then something keeps pulling me back.. don't get me wrong i really want to break free from it all and i'm resisting the urge to go back as i have been miserable in the truth for a long time as i've known it's not right and want to do the best by my daughter.
i popped into the supermarket for a few things after work today and found myself walking up an aisle alongside a couple who used to be in my tuesday group.
i see them reasonably often and always say hello much to their obvious annoyance.
i noticed that ian was sporting a shaggy beard.
