  Is Lying a Disfellowshipping offence?

  so, if lying or being deliberately misleading is a "disfellowshipping" offence, why haven't the brothers who lied to the australian royal commission been brought before a judicial committee?

  2016 Calendar: Give us more money!

  just got a peak at the 2016 calendar and i cannot tell you how much it bothered me.

  it's all about constructing new kh and assembly halls, which is completely ironic given that the construction stopped almost worldwide.obviously this is proof that the borg is shifting from a magazine publisher to a real estate conglomerate, no wonder they're getting rid of 12 issues of magazines all together.. now, while the pdf of this is not up on the site yet, i will post confirmation as soon as it becomes available.

  We know soooo many in the cult who are on every prescription med to reduce anxiety and depression and they swallow the pills down with booze. We care deeply for some who are doing this. We just want to scream..."get out of her." If they left, they may realize what is causing all their issues. You may have to loose family and conditional friends but the freedom (IMHO) is priceless.

  Are The Governing Body Anointed?

  for any lurkers, i just want to put a thought out there for you.

  like me maybe during your life as a jw the "thing" that causes someone to know if they are anointed was always a bit of mystery, except to those who claimed they knew.

  i had heard it explained to me many ways, and like many things i just said "ok, well thats an answer... i guess".

  So, you are one of the anointed, one of the 144,000. How do you now know you have been upgraded (chosen) to become a member of the GB?

  Let me use the example of the newest GB member, Sanderson.

  Did Bro. Sanderson approach the GB and say, "Hey guys Jehovah just appointed me to become a GB Member!" I prayed and I know it in my heart...just as I did when I was anointed as a 144,000 member.

  or

  Did Jehovah notify the current GB that he has now chosen Bro. Sanderson as a new member. Let him in! Did they tell Sanderson? Did, Jah send them the message to vote him in?

  Just how does it work?

  while i was sitting through another grueling watchtower, dying from my brain being turned into cult pudding, i had this thought after i heard this read: .

  when we express our most intimate thoughts to god in prayer, he may answer us through a bible passage, an article in a magazine, or an encouraging word from a fellow believer.

  been reading for about 2 and a half years, thought i would take the plunge and sign up.. my circumstances... i live in uk, serving as ms. i am fully awake.

  i can not leave due to family, so just treating the meetings as a bit of a social club.

  i would like to give out more details, but i think you all know the drill.. complete disillusionment and i suppose natural curiosity woke me up.. don't know what else to say right now, just hello, and i hope to get to know some of you guys better.
