by Sanchy inwarning of a long boring post ahead.
i feel like i need to vent my story out, as i feel quite helpless at the moment.. i'm 31 year old, married, father of toddler with another one on the way, due later this month.
i've been serving as elder for about 4 years now in a south florida congregation.

The above post from iceman is very disturbing. Very passive. "Oh well, elders get things wrong, we disfellowship ones who don't deserve it and sure when children are molested we get things wrong." Oh well, it beats the hell out of you being shunned.
This has to be one of the most disturbing posts I have read to date.
Yes, iceman you are right where you belong. Right back with the JW's. It's guys like you who confirm why so many are leaving! Sick!

The immorality of C Russell and J Rutherford founding members of the Watchtower Organization
by Finkelstein insomething that gets little attention or not enough is the what kind of social behavioral people were the ones who started the watchtower corporation ?
c t russell was someone who got divorced from it would appear a lack of love and attention to his wife and the supposed attention he gave to a younger woman who had lived at his home together with his wife .. j rutherford built a lavish home in sunny and warm san diego and lived with his mistress and personal assistant, separated from his wife.
apparently hoarding and drinking alcohol as well when it was illegal by law to do so.. would either of these men qualify to be even elders in today's standards ?

I agree with you it is nice to see others take care of their family members and show courtesy. I have two VERY good non JW friends. One takes care of her elderly mother and her husbands elderly parents. They also have purchased them VERY nice homes they live in (they are well off). The other (also a non JW) friend has moved to this state but calls her elderly father everyday and flies every few weeks to visit him.
We have family members. One is a CO, it is well known within the family that this CO and his wife do not look after their elderly parent, the congregation does. We have countless examples of JW's that are not looking after their aging parents. It infuriates me!
I guess the point I am trying to make is there are good non JW people that are doing good things and JW's that are not practicing what they preach. The opposite can also be stated. There is good and bad in everything and everywhere. The thing that bothers me is the JW's condemn everyone. The good and the bad. I disagree with them 100% . I have witnessed the opposite.

I love the part where the 2 young brothers are looking at the others phone and laughing.
I can just see/hear it now..."Oh...they must not be good marriage mates, they are not listening to the boring meeting." Oh yeah...we shouldn't judge but then the next thing you know they are judging.
I married a man who I guess would not be considered a "spiritual man." Let's see, he's a great father, a great provider, a caring person, he NEVER forgets his family and he's my best friend. We've been together for 30+ years. He just doesn't perform the tasks the JW's require, which does not make him a "spiritual man." I know many a JW husband that perform the tasks (aka spiritual man), that suck as a father, a provider and treat their wife like crap. Go figure!
You just can't make this sh*t up.

I hope the guy is a MS. According to Tony Morris' zone talk, he is not worth a damn if he's not one by the age of 23.

Pandora's Box is now open!
by pandorasbox1914 inhi everyone, i have been lurking for some time now and decided to open the box (hence pandora).
about a year ago i became aware of child abuse within the org, out of curiosity (just like pandora) i opened the box and the evils have been pouring out ever since regarding the org.
anyway, this came to a head last summer with the arc.

I just watched the bread illustration. One question...the mud illustration. How come when we get mud on us, do our friends and family throw us in the trash? If Jehovah doesn't throw us in the trash when we sin, how come his "loving organization" does?
That has to be one of the dumbest illustrations I have ever seen.
I think the natives are getting restless in this cult and WT is worried. Are their #'s dwindling?

by sherrie11 inhttp://www.smh.com.au/nsw/i-want-to-go-home-13yearold-phelicity-sneesbys-dying-wish-20160130-gmhky4.html.
this article is sad.
but what amazes me is her jw family is accepting donations or has to resort to the very worldly people they look forward to being destroyed.

This is the girl from the February Broadcast?
Holy crap! Have you seen how much WT is making off of the sale of their properties? They can't afford to send this little girl home? They could care less about anyone but themselves. Just give em a track, Watchtower/Awake or a book to read? That's going to fix what this little girl and her family are facing TODAY?
