Gas Pump "Witnessing"....Is this a thing?
by Bob Loblaw ini've seen this twice now within a month.
a car group hanging out at a gas station.
one of the cult members jumps outs of their car and runs up to a "worldly" gas pumper, arm stretched out, tract in hand, and here comes the juvenile at best question.

"Something isn't quite right."
This is a statement my spouse and I said for years, while we were still active JW's. Once we learned TTATT, we fully understood what the "something" was. It's funny, we don't make that statement anymore.

Do not Disassociate, Anull your baptism
by jwfacts ini am now a jedi, so trust me on this.. .
why dis-associate, you are just playing by the wts rules?
how can you dis-associate anyway, you never thought you were baptised as a watchtower society member, you thought your dedication was to god, so why formally disassociate from something you did not formally join?

Like anything in life, it is a personal decision whether you fade or DA. Everyone has different circumstances. Some have no family that are JW's, so it may make it easier for them to leave and move one. Others have mates, children and elderly parents still in. Some have great relationships with their families, some not so much. When we were still in we hated the judgmental attitudes (it's one of the many reasons we left), so we try not to judge what someone else chooses to do in this case.
We all have our own stories to tell and it is not our place to judge what others do or do not do. We are perfectly content with the decisions we have made, they are OUR decisions. We are happy with that.

Leaked Elder's Video: How to deal with a suicidal sister
by cappytan inthis video will be played at one of the clam meetings in march 2016.. the content is kind of old news because it is a recut version of a previous video produced for the elder's school.
however, it's still significant because it shows that the organization still has dissenting brothers in positions of leadership.. my thanks to the leaker.
feel free to claim credit here.

It is a very deluded video. Very unrealistic. As usual, everyone in the videos end up happily ever after. These Elders are not professionals and are not trained to handle these deep issues.
I think it is great if they show this at the CLAM meeting. Maybe it will open even more eyes.

If all the world were JWs....
by Tornintwo inin my former indoctrinated state, i used to yearn for a time when all the world would be jws.
but hang on minute, let's just think about what the world would be like if everyone was a jw,.
first of all, no higher education, so no medical advances, no scientific research, no modern day medicine, infectious disease rife, no doctors, no engineers, so no modern day comforts.

We would all be sitting around looking forward to fun and joy after we die and are resurrected. I never understood why you couldn't enjoy the life you are living NOW. -

Hey, if I could put word on the street to have a large group come clean my home top to bottom for free and everyone came, I would do it too. As long as there are gullible people to do the dirty deeds they will continue to ask. There's a sucker born every minute. -

Why would anyone choose to support Jehovahโs Witnesses?
by Half banana inwhat is the point of supporting a belief which began as a bronze age ox-headed idol called yahweh... in a religion designed for illiterate peasants now appropriated by a money-driven cult with a one hundred and forty six year unbroken record of total failure of its bible based predictions?.

"Because, regardless of its glaring flaws, it's still the best thing going atm."
Hey...you know you are on an evil apostate site. I guess it's the best apostate site going at the moment. You may want to tell the Elders or better yet, your CO, what site you are one. Just tell em you have glaring flaws and see what they do to you. Good luck (oh dear, I'm going to hell for that one). Oh well, I have glaring flaws as well.

JW.org vs. Cross: Honestly What's The Difference?
by Hadriel ini have a family member that goes nuts with these little things.
i wouldn't be surprised if they have a drawer full of underwear stamped with the logo.. it is completely out of hand.
now i'm not nitpicking here but what is the difference between printing a cross/wearing a cross than wearing a jw.org pin, tie-tack or whatever other logo'd item?

One is a symbol used by Christendom. The other is used by a cult. JW dot org is approved by the GB,the other is not.
It's kind of like dancing and singing in the Kingdom hall/Assembly halls is not right until the GB puts it's stamp of approval on it. Once the GB does that the head bobbing begins and it's the best thing since sliced bread.
HYPOCRITES!
