jehovah's witnesses now owns a major apartment complex in the town of fishkill.. tenants say they've been told their leases will not be renewed.. the sale of the 250-unit rivercrest luxury apartments closed dec. 3, the deed on file at the dutchess county clerk's office shows.
while sale price is not stated, the transfer tax indicates a transaction for $57 million.. rivercrest is a modern development west of route 9d just north of beacon and was a project of avr realty, which also developed other housing and commercial spaces in that area as well as projects in eight states.. the sale deed is between rivercrest development llc, based in yonkers, and watchtower bible and tract society of new york, inc. as the buyer.

We have a strong feeling some of the old timers that know some dirty little secrets of Bethel are being housed there. Keep em quiet and housed until they die. Sad. This is a self serving organization.

Tell your Father in Law to *&%$ off! Sounds like he's all up in your business. Not where he belongs. Don't give him, nor anyone else, the power over you and your family. Let them know that. Stand your ground and watch them back off. Tell them nothing and let them know they need to stay out of your business.

You mentioned the Elders at the dinner table discussing everyones "private" information. There is nothing private in this organization. NOTHING! We have NEVER gone to the Elders for anything and never will. We don't trust many people anymore. DON'T TRUST THE DAMN ELDERS WITH ANYTHING!
Take it slow and don't trust your wife. If she will screw you over once, she will screw you over a million times. She should be the one you can turn to. You are a better person than I am. I would have dropped her like a rock. Sorry...don't mean to hurt your feelings. Just my 2 cents.

during our wt life we met a good number of friends involved in the circuit and district work.
i am sure that we share the same experience and that we remember fondly some that we caring, loving and generally interested in the brothers.
at the same time we might remember others that were arrogant, selfish, abusive and oppressive.
I can't recall EVER a CO taking an interest in the average/lowly JW (unless they have money). If you weren't a Elder, MS, Pioneer or someone with a title they couldn't give a rats ass about you.
Some come in the congregation with their list of foods they can't eat and their demands. I have demands too but I have to work to pay my bills and have a family to raise. No time for demands in everyday life.
They latch on to the ones who have money, pick up the dinner tab and an open bar. Poolside would be nice too. We've seen that first hand.
just wondering, as i will be visiting active jw family in ohio in a few weeks, do you think it will be worthwhile dropping it into a conversation, about the wtbts pyramid near his grave, or try some other topic to try and wake them up.
i was never baptized and don't really care if they get upset or not, but it is only a day trip from ohio to pittsburgh, and thought it would be fun if they denied it, and then drove their to see it for ourselves.

did you realize that before the program begins, the circuit is already in the red?
many of the friends thought they were paying for the use of the building and covering the costs of the utilities, etc.
after the worst introduction i could ever make on the forum i would like to reintroduce myself and make a fresh start on the forum and hopefully over time i will be able to redeem myself.
i have changed my user name which was over dramatic and ridiculous in the cold light of day but for transparency and to show i am not trying to hide anything i have adapted the original name and it now has a more positive feel.
after reading a lot of posts on this forum i am feeling more optimistic about my future.
