i know the answer will vary due to location.. are you (especially elders) receiving any notification or communication from bethel or co's that there is an upsurge of people that are simply disappearing or out right dis associating?.

The heads of this cult have done a bang up job on scaring the hell out of every JW. They have painted the world a very evil place. There is good in the world, bad in the world. There is good in the cult, bad in the cult. I agree. I have met some really nice and genuine non JW's. They treat me better than my immediate family. Sad that I can say that.
JW's are missing out on some nice folks. What a sad/limited life.

I think this is true of a good majority of JW's. The ones that I am still close with do not have any other relationships outside of the cult. I actually sit there and listen to them bash and trash talk the "one and only true religion" and then 1 millisecond later say "but it's still the truth." I REALLY have to bite my tongue and stop myself from saying....WTF!

ok, i've had some wine, but i'm curious.
objectively speaking, but for the religion, did you have enough in common with your spouse to have met and married as non believers?
so there is this young brother probably 14 or 15 and the elders are already grooming him to do more for jehobadahhh.
most of the elders in this kh are old like 60+ and sometimes there are not enough brothers to do the mics or sound so you will see a 70 year old elder forced into action.
almost comical to see a brother who thinks instagram is an email service try to operate the sound system and projector as he plays the wrong song or brings the screen down during a prayer.
