When you have experienced a person who displays a 100% narcissistic personality, it is amazing how narcissistic this cult is. It is scary. Even the Return to Jehovah brochure does not cover that maybe the majority of the rank and file have left and are fading due to the GB themselves. Just like the ARC. "It's not OUR fault, it's everyone elses fault." A narcissist will NEVER blame themselves. NEVER!

odd mix of congregations assigned, i'm sure to throw off any scent of a decline.. no distinction made whatsoever between loyalty to jehovah god and loyalty to the watchtower bible and tract society.
the convention is riddled with parts whipping up your love for the creator and jesus, with a quick reminder that the wbts are their gatekeepers.. parallels are implied constantly between israel and jehovah's witnesses.

My spouse and I often wondered why so many of our family members were drawn to these International or special assemblies. Nothing against anyone attending who desires to go but many JW's desire all of the attention and the feeling of being a celebrity. They put on shows, bands playing at assembly halls, dancing, hold up banners for the delegates, cheering the delegates and make many trinkets. Who wouldn't want all the attention. The problem we have is, we were always taught to be a humble people, not wanting to draw attention to ourselves. This is just another example of the blatant hypocrisy this cult displays. Say one thing, do another.

The bunker video was produced to set the rank and file up for what is coming down the pipeline. WT will eventually have to answer for the child abuse cases. When they do, they will pull the persecution card out and use it to what they think will be to their advantage.

I feel your pain. My kids will never be the wonderful and spectacular need greaters, pioneers, bethelites, etc. They could NEVER measure up to the "exemptluary" ones in the family. The one thing they DO have is jobs, health insurance, 401k, education and most importantly humility. Their dad and I are proud of them and let them know it. No one can take or diminish the pride we feel towards our children. We were always taught as JW's to have humility, yet it seems none of the JW's have that quality. When we are at a family gathering and the brag fest starts about what little Johnny or Susie has accomplished for "kingdom interests", we all (our kids included) just smile at one another, saying nothing at all.
Enjoy the successes of your children in your own wonderful way. They are YOUR special possession. The hell with what everyone else thinks. Hugs!

We have several family members that are 100% JW. All day, every day. If you don't have JW stuff to talk about, there would be NO conversation. If you try bringing up something to discuss, then it's "oh, Brother so and so knows how to do that or Brother so and so went through the same thing." Make's me want to scream!
They have no outside contact with the world. No jobs, friends, neighbors...nothing. And if you or a family member ever accomplishes anything, forget it! "Brother so and so did it also and much better than anyone else." GAG!
