Rutherford was a drunk/crazy bully. If someone today did this (buy a home so faith men of old could come back and live there), they would send them to the nearest mental institution.
What a bunch of nuts!
how many of you know about this san diego mansion?
i just found out about it recently.
apparently it was built for old testament faithful men to live in upon resurrection in 1925 such as abraham, moses etc.

has anyone attended the sunday program of the summer regional convention, remain loyal to jehovah?.
i have been very concerned about the tone of discussion surrounding sundays program.
i went to friday and sat., not sunday.
Yes, I have seen the Sunday program. WT uses fear to manipulate its members. Go to JWfacts and research the ways WT has used in the past to instill fear in its members.
My spouse and I are born in and have very zealous JW families. We exited this religion 3 plus years ago. What a relief not living like this anymore. I can not describe to you the improvement in our lives since leaving.
Your pioneer daughter told you that you were bad association? Wow...that should tell you volumes about the group you are dealing with. This organization is abusive, judgemental and full of arrogance. The best advise we can give you is....RUN LIKE HELL! I mean that...Run. Google the word cult. I did 3 years ago and my jaw hit the floor. JW fit every bullet point.
there continues to be more and more rumors of more halls being sold off some even taking the first offer.
the borg trying to get thier bond money back from the court in san diego asap and there's been elders meetings about this consolidation.
my questions is why after selling off all this real estate in new york for over a billion dollars are they still acting like thier broke?
Did they not "count the cost" before they built all of these Kingdumb Halls? If my family and I went to the Elders and told them that we are in a financial downturn, they would tell us that we did not "count the cost."
It's amazing how they spin the meetings on growth..."we can see Jehovahs hand directing us." Where is Jehovahs hand when they have to "simplify?"
tyler mccumber, no, you probably don't know of him.
he may be one of jehovah's witnesses.
his dad, mark, was a member the last i knew.. .
Remember...this is an al carte religion (cult). Pick and choose what you want to do. That is how it is done in JW land.
tl;dr: if you live either in scotland or in other parts of uk and you don't mind traveling, you might be able to help a fellow ex-jw by being present during a courtcase where she alone has to face more than two dozens of jws who have ruined their business.
please contact me directly for details on when and where the court case will be held (i will know these details in few days probably).
ps.
I don't hire JW's for anything anymore. I learned the hard way.
I hope it works out for her. I wish I was there, I would rally around her.
yoga pants parade.
i guess tight pants tony isn't the only man that needs to get a life!.
BARRINGTON, R.I. — Women clad in yoga pants plan to parade through a coastal Rhode Island town in protest of a man who said the attire looks tacky and ridiculous.
The women plan to hold a parade Sunday in Barrington to show they can wear whatever they want.
Their outrage is in response to a letter that town resident Alan Sorrentino wrote to the Barrington Times about his dislike of yoga pants. He said women over age 20 shouldn't wear them.
"Yoga pants belong in the yoga studio," he wrote. "What's next? Wearing a "Speedo" to the supermarket? Imagine if men did that. Yuck!"
Sorrentino wrote that it's "bizarre and disturbing" to see the outfits on "mature, adult women," noting that it's "usually paired with a blousy top and a pony tail hairdo." He said it's the worst thing to happen in women's fashion since the miniskirt. He said women should wear a "nice pair of tailored slacks" or jeans instead.
He told women who wear yoga pants that he's struggling with his own physicality as he ages and said, "I don't want to struggle with yours." He didn't return a call for comment Friday.
Women in the town and around Rhode Island have called the comments sexist and are planning to parade down his street.
In a Facebook page to promote the parade , women from as far as Texas and Australia said they'll wear yoga pants on Sunday in a show of solidarity.

my ex-wife actually opened up to me today over the phone.
she was quite anxious and, i could sense, i little upset.
for those that dont know my situation im separated from my wife.
Good news! She is starting to open up to you. Move slow. Keep us posted.
'in order to extend mercy, the committee must be convinced that the wrongdoer has a changed heart condition and that he has a zeal to right the wrong and is absolutely determined to avoid it in the future.'.
shepherd the flock page 91. i remember this is one of the first things that concerned me as an elder because it seemed to sound like a person is guilty until proven innocent rather than 'love believes all things', especially given the word 'convinced' appears in bold.. then in a training video one elder said something like 'unless we are convinced of repentance the shepherd the flock book says we must disfellowship'.
that was the begining of the end for me as i thought surely true christians would reason the other way round and show mercy wherever possible.. any thoughts?.
Just our 2 cents here...
I was raised by an Elder father and if he wanted me to show repentance, the way the org requires (you know, crying, begging and kissing ass), he could coach me in how I should act to "show the right heart condition." lol After all Daddy knows what the "secret Elder book" has to say.
The "regular kid" (no Elder dad) in the KH is on his/her own. No coaching, so they may not have the correct "heart condition."
This repentance crap is just that...CRAP. No holy spirit what so ever. Just holy horse sh*t!
i began my exit from the jehovah’s witness organization about 5 years.
i was a 4th generation born-in, with all the baggage that comes with having the “spiritual heritage” attached to the group.
i was an elder/bethelite/pioneer/whatever other useless privilege there was, i had no family or friends outside of the organization… my entire life was that org.
Paul...wow what a story. I really admire how you were strong enough to DA and not live a lie. That took incredible strength on your part.
Your father is a very special man to share his deep down feelings. I know it breaks your heart to not have much contact with your parents now that you are out. He gave you an incredible gift by sharing this with you.
The WT has a great deal to answer for. It is an abusive and hurtful organization that tears lives and families apart.
Hang in there a be glad you made your exit, along with your wife. My spouse and I did the same thing 3 years ago. We are both born ins with Uber dub families. Our families are not in the same town so they don't know we are completely out. We know they are suspicious. I am getting to the same point as you did. It is getting harder to hold back my disgust for this destructive cult.
