well today was the big day.

we finally let the cat out of the bag to the in-laws about watchtower.

previously there were unknown rumors being spread about me and today i found out why the wife and i are being shunned.

We have noticed this also with our family. They just keep parroting, "obedience to Jehovah."
At least you have been honest with your families. I admire that. It will be interesting to see how they all treat you and your wife in the near future. I am sure you are prepared for whatever they have to dish our.

i have indeed made the truth my own, and i am never going back to jehovah's witnesses.

the fact now is that talking about this religion with someone who believes it makes me sort of angry.

it raises my blood pressure.

We did the same thing. We call it reverse shunning. Trust me...they will forget you. They forgot us when they couldn't get juicy details. We went stone cold quiet. Sad but true! We owe them NOTHING.

Could this be the reason for one day assemblies

last saturday i sat through the one day assembly and i waited for the anticipated accounts report.

for one day the costs were $10,000.

even my wife questioned why the costs are so high and why don't they give a break down on the costs?

The money only flows one way in JW land...WT pockets. Now (for us) money only flows one way for our family....education for our kids, vacations and planning for retirement.

Glad you escaped. My spouse and I are born ins who always had that feeling that something is just not right. Free for 3 years. Never been happier. So glad we got our kids out too.
The elder mentioned that the brothers saw her parents at her home. Sounds like there was some spying going on. What a sick bunch! I hope more and more JW's are seeing what this cult is really made up of.
You will not see WT go away but I believe you will see it shrink in size.

Wow. This is an incredible recording. This young lady kept her composure so well throughout the entire recording. Some stuff was hard to hear. When they started questioning her on her dealings with her family, it became difficult to listen to. Questioning her on "necessary family business. " How these men can do this to others is beyond me. I hope this girl can move on without this cult. I hope more lurkers listen to this and realize that this is not Jehovah's organization nor is there any love in it. Disgusting!
Great post...I hope this gets record numbers of people who listen to it.

So in our local area, 2 mega churches are adding on huge additions. I mean huge! More shuttle buses added and more traffic for us when we are trying to enjoy our Sunday. lol So what happened to Babylon falling and the increase in numbers at the Kingdumb halls. I guess it will now be...."the greater number is cooling of." They always have a scripture that just happens to suit them or they make it suit them.

Isn't interesting that financial support was mentioned several times. Even mentioned before prayer. What a load of crap. In the corporate world they don't sell off assets, consolidate and lay off unless they are struggling financially.
