I think they are really going to need all 5 days to cover what they need. The game is changing and people are "brazen". WT need to let the boys know how to handle these "brazen ones."

Various reasons? I find this funny! The various reason is the hypocrisy, abuse and cruelty to it's members. There's your various reasons, not mentioned in the WT brochure. There are other "various reasons" but the list is too long.

Only Jehovah's people
by rebel8 intoday i went to a large talk.. there was no arguing or swearing, just kindness and respect.. it was orderly and calm.. trash was put in the proper place.
people were even picking up litter that wasn't even theirs.. the speakers were passionate and inspiring.. the entire event was orchestrated by volunteers.. it was march for science, not a dub ass-embly.
so much for "only jehoopla's people" behaving like this at large events..

Rebel. I experienced a similar thing. Last week I took my daughter and school friends to a "rock" concert. This was held in the same arena we used to go for our dub convention. Over 14,000 people of all ages, everyone was happy and having a great time. No pushing or shoving, everyone waited patiently to go get thru the lines for entry. Now at one dub assembly I was an attendant, when the doors opened in the morning? I watched in amazement as JWs pushed and started to run to get the best seats. Yes, you are correct...only Jehovah's people.🤔

My husband took our teenager and 2 of her friends to a "worldly" concert. Yes...her friends were "worldly" too. Oh my...tsk tsk. He came home and said there was no sex or drugs. Also, no "please be seated" or "quiet" signs being carried around by some snot nosed kids. The concession stands and bars were open and people were orderly and well behaved. How could that be? Only Jah's people can be orderly and well behaved. So they say!

by nowwhat? inso jah can build a broadcasting studio in record time, provide a cool summer so the new bibles can be printed on time without the presses overheating, but cant deliver his people in russia?!.

when my mother first got involved with the witnesses back in '77, my mother's mother and my father's mother, being the "good catholics that they were", gave my father "license" to do "whatever it takes" to stop her associating with these people.. due to "confirmation bias", (i.e.
"satan will do whatever he can to stop you associating with us"), this "persecution" only convinced her that the witnesses had "the truth".

Wow....great post. Reading through it confirms the abusive, destructive and cruel organization my parents joined years ago. Similar abuses have been witnessed by our family as well. Our family brushes it off to..." imperfect men." That is fine, let them stay, we choose not to participate anymore. The abuse stops with our immediate family. When we saw our teenager beginning to feel the abuse, we decided that it was time to stop the pattern.
There is NOTHING that you can say or do with the Elders, CO's or just the uber JW's that will make them change. They are part of a cult. They have to figure it out like we did.
I worked a few years ago for a man who was a true narcissist (100%). I did a tremendous amount of research on these types of people and it lead me to realize that most JW's are narcissists. In my research, I learned that you CAN NOT change these people, you have to remove them from your life. Best advise was...."run don't walk." That is what my spouse and I did four years ago. Ran! We never looked back. We did not give anyone an explanation, reason, justification why we left. We just left! FAST! To this day no one truly knows why we left. They have tried so hard to engage us (aka...hang us). We realized that they are trying to get rid of us. Once you engage with these people they now have been given their narcissistic supply they need. Not engaging with them pisses them off more than anything else. It's been entertaining to watch!
I know you can say..."but they (WT) are destroying peoples lives" and yes they are but it is starting to bite them in the ass. The internet is doing a fantastic job of exposing WT . The child abuse cases are hitting the news and the emotional abuse is rampant. If you are a newly interested one and you Google Jehovahs Witnesses a astronomical amount of negative info comes up. The growth of the org is diminishing. Young ones are leaving and the ones dying are not being replaced with new ones. It is a slow bleed for WT. They may never go away but they will be just a blip compared to what they once were. It's coming. It may take some time but it's coming.
We have decided that life is short and we want to enjoy it. We are much happier out then we were in. How can that be? We were told we would be miserable. Not so! Once we got the abusive, destructive and cruel cult out of our lives, it was amazing how much better we felt.
Karma is coming to get WT. It is already happening. WT loves $ and we have NEVER seen WT beg for $ the way they have over the past several years. Not asking for money used to be something, as JW's, that we were proud of . That doesn't exist anymore.
I guess the point I am trying to make is this. Someone years ago told me..."never let anyone steal your joy." What a great saying. WT was stealing our joy and we stopped it. We now have JOY! Life won't be perfect but we are enjoying the life we have now. We are watching our family that gave WT their life. They have no joy. They don't have any education which caused them not to be able to save for retirement. They are struggling so much they can't even take a small vacation. WT told them back in 1969 that they would not need an education, the system is at it's end. Now they are all struggling with no hope in site. They are also facing the fact that they WILL die. We know one day we will die as well. We don't know what happens after that. We take one day at a time. Today we know we have THIS life and we are enjoying it. WT can't steal our joy, we WON'T let them!

Are their " wishy, washy" congregations...
by The Rebel init may be an amazing thought for many but i am sure " wishy, washy" congregations exist.
i am referring to congregations where the elders are idle in enforcing the g.bs guidelines on control.. i mean let's face it the organisation is an authoritarian regime, that works only if the elders enforce complete obedience to watchtower policies.
sadly in the congregations i was associated with the elders excelled at enforcing loyalty and obedience.. however with age, people mellow, elders can become more compassionate, even assume the voice of reason?
