  Fatherless Boys

  the wt teaches that "fatherless boys" need special care and attention in the congregation.

  however, as brought out at the rc their definition of "fatherless boys" includes boys that have actual fathers who maybe very well qualified to teach and raise their sons.

  according to wt, if either of your parents aren't jws then you are a "fatherless boy.

  I wouldn't want any of these "men" to care for my son. He has a great Dad...now no longer a JW. All we witnessed throughout our life in WT was pure abuse. When the Elders started taking pot shots at our son, our days became numbered as a JW. THANK YOU WT ELDERS, YOU DID US A HUGE FAVOR AND I THINK YOUR NUMBERS (and money) ARE TAKING A HIT BECAUSE OF THE ABUSE. You can not go back and change all the abuse you did to impact peoples lives.

  Do JWs Ever Do Anything Meaningful For Others?

  i know they never gave a helping hand to anyone but their own in the past.

  do jehovah's witnesses do anything useful for the community??

  I know of one Elder that helped a lot of Brothers and Sisters in the KH. Lent money, let people borrow his car and some other very kind things. The CO received many nice gifts and delicious meals out. I don't believe there are too many caring elders left in the org.

  My spouse was laid off a few years back. Not a meal or even a word of encouragement from any Elders. NOTHING!

  i left the religion back in the early 2000's, tell you the truth it's been so long now i've been out i don't remember exactly when i left.

  i definitely used this site a lot when i first left and it was a great asset.

  when i left i somehow managed to get my parents to come with me.

  They are correct there. We left 4 years ago and it is a totally new cult. They even have a new bible. Someone above stated that they re branded and re packaged the religion. Yep...it's now heading in the Televangilist direction. Everything is going digital, not much printing. As for the DF'ing that is total BS. Also, there are no more controlling Elders, that is utter BS. We have one on our tail now that is totally off his rocker.

  Best advise I can give you...STAY AWAY. It is the best decision you EVER made in your entire life.
