Yeah WT is great at demonizing education BUT they sure love to "use" the brothers and sisters education to their benefit...i.e. Nurses, doctors,lawyers, dentists, engineers, plumbers and anyone who specializes in anything that can be of benefit. It sickens me and is at the height of hypocrisy.

I must have been such a mediocre JW, I had zero problem entering a church for a wedding or funeral. They sold our Kingdom Hall to a church. I figured if they could do that, then I had no problem walking in one. You talk about hypocrisy. WT sells our hall to a church but I can't enter one to support a loved one? Really? It's amazing how it only flows one way....WATCHTOWERS WAY!!!!

by midnight inregarding the recent 1975 video at the convention it hit me !.
when reasoning with people about the inspiration of the bible we used the bible writers candor ie/ there honesty when recording bible accounts about there personal mistakes .. how come the governing body despite its claims to be spirit directed are not honest about there mistakes ?.

Phone call with a disfellowshipped relative

What I Noticed At An Event During This Week. . . . . .

Before we made our exit, a Sister (Elders wife) told me a couple of JW acquaintances had belly button rings. I told her that the org doesn't support that. She looked at me like I just landed from Mars. I truly believe these people don't know what WT promotes. I think during meetings and assemblies they are thinking about who is going and where they are going for dinner and their next vacation. Like I said before, this is an al a carte cult. Pick and choose what you want to follow.

I was impressed by part of today's symposium entitled ' Safeguard your children from what is evil'
by UnshackleTheChains inwell i have to give credit where credit is due.
it was the part of today's symposium - build a house that will endure.
the part i was most impressed with was 'safeguard your children from "what is evil".

WT HAS to address these issues, they are loosing members in droves. Too little too late WT! How is this going to help the victims that are now adults? Typical JW....your kids need to watch how they dress? Really? A 5-8 year old needs to be careful how they dress? That's as bad as the one, if you don't scream, it's really not rape. This is one f'd up organization. No apology from WT....never. Remember.....1975 was all the rank and files fault too, even though there are recorded talks and printed literature that stated WT promoted theses thoughts! True 100 percent NARCISSISTIC BEHAVIOR! Is WT letting the congregation know there is a pedophile in their midst? It is one thing to warn parents to watch over their children but if the parents don't know than it can be difficult. I left my children with families for short periods of time, when we were still in. If I'm not warned there is someone in the congregation that has been suspect, it's difficult to watch out for.

My spouse and I were two of the "weak" ones in the congregation. Low hours, missed meetings, husband never reached out and neither of us ever pioneered. A couple of loosers. We even knew what theocratic warfare was. Lol
