I wish I knew someone who could get this nonsense to the media. I would love to let the public know how sexist this cult is.

Sexist Watchtower quote makes me so angry
by Phoebe injohn cedars latest youtube video refers to last weekend's wt study article which some have referred to on another thread but i am truly outraged at the continuing misogynist attitude toward women.
not only did that study article say if women have a family to care for it will stop them gossiping or meddling into other people's affairs, lloyd shares on his video a talk by sam herd from when he was a c.o in 1971.
(i hope he has since changed his opinion!

Where else can I go???
by UNCONDITIONAL LOVE inthose are the words of my 2nd generation born in jw mother.
my grandfather died refusing blood.
i've since come to the realization that many jws have no other opportunities or options when it comes to leaving the cult.

Yes, we see the faces of our family. Aging with no savings, retirement or education to fall back on. It is sad but they really have no where else to go. They have NO worldly friends and there family is all in. Most of our family do not even know their neighbors. We know our neighbors and have found out that most would give you the shirt off their backs if they had to. They know if they left they would have no one. What a terrible, sad way to exist. WT is a social club, nothing more.

"Even if this wasn't the truth, I would still stay. This is the best life to live..."
by HereIgo ini was recently told this by a jw family member when trying to get through to them.
does this quote indicate that maybe such ones have considered that the jw's may not have the truth after all?
or is that just my wishful thinking?

We have family that keeps telling us to pray and encourages us to go back to the Kingdom Hall. The interesting thing is, they don't go to the meetings, out in service or to the assemblies. They play dress up and Christian occasionally but not on a regular basis. A true "do as we say, not as we do" attitude. I find this weird and fascinating. Best life ever! Weirdest bunch ever!

Jw mummies boys
by purrpurr ini've had the misfortune to encounter quite a few mummies boys in the cult.
men aged 20-40 who although in men's bodies think, act and behave like children.
their mother's had them tied to the apron strings tightly.

We know of JW mummies boys and girls. Uneducated and living in the relatives basements. Don't have 2 nickels to their name. One is an Elder. Scary!

Paranoid why the coordinator's wife is soft shunning me
by Isambard Crater infor the past six months the coordinator's wife has definitely been avoiding me, turning her back or walking away when i walk in her direction, giving me a stare at other times.
if i try to make casual conversation with her, she literally walks away or just looks through me until someone else comes to talk to her.. i can only think of one reason, which is that she may have seen me give a car ride to a disfellowshipped person months ago.
i mean, it would be totally random if she happened to spot me on this one short journey, but it's possible.

This cult is so judgmental. There is no telling why she is snubbing you. You probably looked at her wrong. These people have to be by far the most self righteous bunch on the face of the earth. When I read posts like this one, it really makes me appreciate not having to deal with these issues anymore.
I am sorry she did that to you. Don't beat yourself up about it. I don't know your circumstances but if you get the opportunity.....RUN LIKE HELL!

Todays WT, study with worldy kids if you can
by purrpurr inaccording to today's wt, jws are now encouraged to start bible studys with worldy kids even if their parents dont want to join in.
the wt suggests that the study should take place with the parent present or with another mature jw present.. the wt suggests that studying with the kid may make the parent eventually want a study too.. ...
in what situation would any worldly parent allow some stranger from a werid cult to come jnto their house and convert their children?

This shows you how delusional WT is. Once a parent or student Googles Jehovah's Witnesses they will never support studying with them. This is the wonderful thing the internet is doing to this cult.

Anyone recall someone disfellowshipped for gluttony???
by James Mixon ingluttony seems to be a sin that jw's like to ignore .there are several scriptures that point out that gluttony is a sin, proverbs 23:20-21 "do not join those who gorge themselves on meat".....also i read somewhere that 1% is the number of disfellowshipped jw's each year......how do prove someone is a glutton and not just a person who love food???

Our overweight family members are struggling with depression. Most are on anti depressants, drink too much and have trouble surviving financially.

There is always one!
by Isambard Crater ini am pimo but attended the r.c yesterday for family pressure reasons.
a "sister" i've not seen for a while told me her husband is overjoyed because a man he called on recently in the field service suddenly told him he wanted to attend the r.c.
the unusual thing is, this man is a millionaire having built a property portfolio.

JWs shunning other active JWs
by Roger Kirkpatrick inhow many others have noticed how common it is for active jws to ostracize and shun other active jws?
as far back as i can recall, jws have had an ongoing problem with cliques within congregations, and special needs talks would be given from time to time to address that trend.
but, it seems to me that the practice has become even more pronounced with entire congregations actively shunning other congregations.

Judging is huge, as is the spiritual competition. "I'm more spiritual. No, I'm more spiritual." We watched this go on for years. I believe once all the smart people make their exit, all that will be left are the pompous ass*oles. They will devour each other. lol I don't miss it!
