There is NO more substance to Watchtower. It's just a money grubbing cult. They do the thinking for the next generation on JW's and the old one's seem to be just too tired.

A Visit from the JWs, knocking at our door...!
by Muddy Waters inha, another visit from the jws.... thankfully they are few and far between (seem to roll around whenever the co visits or is about to visit...)an elder and his wife, presenting the magazines and inviting us to the talks, which are "so encouraging".
he had the saddest, most hang-dog expression, as he bemoaned these last days, so critical to deal with, and how the world was getting so terrible, things are so bad, blah blah blah, and every time i looked at her, she smiled encouragingly at me with that bright-eyed, put-on "sincere" smile.
i thanked them for coming, and said, "i appreciate you thinking about us" (after they said how the "missed us" at the meetings, ugh) -- "but we know where the kingdom hall is if we decide to go back.

Great job! We keep telling family members that we are happier not attending then when we attended. They have that look like a deer in headlights. lol They just don't get it. I would like to add (but I don't actually say it), "don't knock it til you try it."
It's funny how they tell you, "everyone misses you." I feel like screaming when they say this. Everyone has my number, if they miss us so much how come we NEVER hear from them? Just empty words from a drowning/desperate cult!

Learning To Believe Again
by The_Seeker ini was raised a jw and left the organization when i was 18 years old.
many thought i left because i wanted to live a life full of drugs, sex, and rock and roll, which was not true at all.
i left because i realized that these people had no idea what they were talking about and were simply parroting what the, " society " , told them to believe.

by Are you serious insince me and my siblings had to go to service every saturday, and i mean every saturday, i missed out on something so normal as watching good ole saturday morning cartoons from the 70's and 80's.
i remember wishing i could stay home just one saturday so i could watch cartoons.

Just having normal relationships, like everybody else. I was only allowed VERY limited contact with "worldly" friends. Funny thing....those "worldly friends" treated me better than the kids in the congregation. What horrific teenage years I experienced in Jehovah's "loving organization." Those relationships have affected me to this day.

Total lack of love. Judgemental, back stabbing JW's!
Then we learned TTATT. Beth Sarim, the UN scandal, the denial of the 1975 Watchtower involvement.
Once you learn TTATT, you can NEVER GO BACK!!!

Nicolas King: JW celebrity and example of hypocrisy
by neat blue dog innicolas king frequently sings with the watchtower chorus and had a supporting role in the dvd released at the 2014 convention.
(he's on the bottom row, second from the right.).
but he also is a jazz singer, traveling constantly performing at concerts, casinos, charity events, even a brief appearance on the tonight show.

I'm sure Nick is a "nice guy."
We know lots of "nice guys". They now shun my spouse, children and I for becoming inactive. Yeah...."nice guys."

We know of a retired CO that Watchtower provides a home to him and his wife. Travels around like a gypsy and sponges off of anyone he can.

School for Congregation Elders
by C.O.B.E.Beef ini attended the school late last year, and it was an emotional and mental rollercoaster for me.
i was already divided in my heart to say the least.
one of the instructors stayed in my home for the week, and my family genuinely enjoyed his company.

So glad this was bumped. The pecking order is quite obvious in this cult. My spouse and I ALWAYS felt just not good enough to be a member. I wish I could share with you some of our recent experiences with our still in family. The bragging and arrogance is through the roof. It will/has been noticed by so many and will/has reduced the cult numbers. Karma is awesome!!! Grab your popcorn and watch the decline!!!!

Maybe they have lines of shredders, so the Eldurs can practice shredding those dreaded documents that could....."bring reproach upon Jehovah's name (aka...the borg)."
I would be pissed if my spouse had to spend a week of vacation at one of these events.

Why "fancy dress" and "theme weddings" were BANNED by our Congregation!
by Witness 007 inour kingdom hall was in a boring town of 30,000 people so to spice things up me and some special pioneers living with us decided to have a fancy dress up party!
what could go wrong?
nice clean fun, and no booze (oh crap!).

A group had a costume party years ago. We had a blast. UNTIL.....a "sister" showed up in a cocktail waitress outfit. You would have thought she was dressed as a hooker. Well, needless to say, we never had a costume party ever again. JW elders and their wives are kill joys. Anything fun is not allowed. That is why so many JW's go off the deep end. I don't miss being part of the cult at all!!!!! FREE AT LAST!!!!!
