Higher Education
by Brian J injust spent 8 hours in a 1 day elders school last weekend.
clarification given: "moving forward any elder, ms, or pioneer who themselves or someone under their roof enrolls in higher education, may no longer qualify for privileges in the congregation.
their qualifications will have to be reviewed by their boe.".

We witnessed this same scenario in our former congregation. This same message was given several years back, of an Elder loosing his "privileges" if his kids attend college. Watchtower then created a caveat to this...."it would go before the Body of Elders." What that essentially means is how much does this particular Elder contribute to the congregation (time, money, ass kissing). How exemplary is he and his family? This exact thing played out in our KH. The Elder really "bumped it up" in the spirituality department, as did his children. We saw this Elder pretty much carry the entire mid week meeting. He had part after part after part. His kids all pioneered and kissed the CO's ass. It was disgusting to watch.
My spouse and I are all for higher education but this really woke us up. I would love to thank the Elder that helped us see "the light." The light just kept getting brighter and brighter and now our family is free. THANK YOU WATCHTOWER FOR SHOWING US YOUR BLATANT HYPOCRISY! We couldn't have done it without you and all your exemplary spiritual counterparts!

Think of all of the old timers that they are housing in those nice apartments in Fishkill NY. How much do those ones know? I’m thinking that WT knows these ones know where their skeletons are hidden. So WT released thousands of Bethelites over the years but they keep housing these old timers. Interesting! Take a look at the annual meeting every year. Focus in on the seats on the floor, especially the ones towards the front. What do you see? Old timers that know all the dirty little secrets of Watchtower.
Watchtower is protecting those documents just just like they protected Chitty and Greenless so many years ago. They disappeared, never to be seen again. Watchtower has an image/money to maintain and will try to protect that at all costs.
What is blowing a hole in that image is the internet, now it’s Karma’s job to do the rest. I just hope I’m alive long enough to enjoy watching Watchtower sweat and squirm.

How many faithful old JW`s are now living in Christendoms retirement homes not being cared for by the religion they gave their life for.
by smiddy3 init must be pointed out in favour of christendoms religions that they do not discriminate against people regarding their religious beliefs.
many old age jehovah`s witnesses are residents of christendoms age care homes.. isn`t this a conunudrum ?
they, jw`s condemn christendom as part of the world empire of false religion and they cast off their old faithful members to their enemy christendom , to look after them without lifting a finger themselves.. in the meantime they are raking in millions of dollars $$$$ in selling off real estate properties in new york and elsewhere around the world.

The ones who receive attention are the elderly that have money. Watchtower wants to make sure everything is willed to them.

You don’t have to say anything. Just let them know you are fine and if you need them, you will contact them. They will eventually leave you alone. Not going to the meetings is a no no but if you don’t want to look like a apostate (even though you are) just be quiet and leave. Unfortunately you can not take your conditional friends with you. There is really no easy way to leave but you can fade quietly. We did but lost all of our so called friends. It’s ok, we are much happier out than we were in. It is sooooo worth it!

"Slaving For Jehovah Is Great, Because Your Life Won't Go Wrong." Sigh...
by Sorry ingranted, i'm a pimo status, so i normally just play on my cell phone and ignore everything during meetings and assemblies.
but at the assembly this past weekend, my ears were pricked for two experiences of two sisters dedicating themselves to pioneering.
this was probably because i was extremely freaked out by both of them.

Remember Jehovah is the organization. So they are slaving for an organization. They don’t have a problem with that....UNTIL they hit 60, 70 or 80. Unless they were given an inheritance or they have a large pension, most JW’s in that age bracket are starting to wonder how they will financially survive until death. We are watching it with our very own family. They have “slaved” for Watchtower and are now struggling to survive.
Most in that audience blindly accepted it because they are hearing the “scripted interview.” They “tweek” those interviews to the CO’s satisfaction. We actually sat through an interview at an assembly, with 2 of our congregation members. Our jaws hit the floor when we heard it. It was a total fabrication and so far from the truth. Most in the audience thought it was great, but we knew the true story. In the real world we call that fabrication or if you want to be real, it’s just pure lying. Watchtower is great at it.
Slaving for something or someone means giving to much energy and time to someone or something. These ones are definitely slaving for Watchtower. If these ones ever needed help from Watchtower, would they be there to help? Just ask all of the Bethelites they have laid off. The ones who would slave for Watchtower right into the new system. Yeah right!!

...and so the shunning begins
by Phoebe ini am now officially 'inactive' so am no longer chased by an elder a for a report.
the congregation i belonged to never had much time for me anyway, i said once i could drop down dead in the k.hall and no one would notice.
so i never expected anyone to be particularly bothered that i wasn't there and they aren't.

Like dozy said above. They “heard” you no longer attend. They don’t know if it is true or not but just remove themselves from your life. No confirmation that the news is true. Just silence. This happened to us as well. For an organization that spends countless hours knocking on empty doors or aimlessly standing by a cart that no one approaches, they seem to just disappear from the ones they could try to encourage. They show their true colors.
