The Memorial

so, i went to the memorial to honor my mom.

i got interested because they were going to talk about how jesus saves.

but, they never really told anyone how to be saved.

Yes. It is love bombing at its best. Our family tried it as well. When you know what to expect, it makes it a little easier to figure out what they are doing.

It is nice to feel loved and accepted. We all want that, especially from family. The problem is, if you don't do the JW tasks (field service, meeting attendance, assemblies, etc.), you will be considered "not progressing in the truth." Once they see this, the love bombing stops. It's conditional love vs. un conditional love.

I guess we all have to realize what they do and why. It's a tough one. Hugs to you!

Is porn really such a big problem in the wt?

in the most recent circuit assembly there was a lot about porn and warning against porn.

even warning against looking at swim wear adverts!

so i was wondering, is porn really such an issue in the wt?.

I don't think WT has it's house in order. I mean members viewing porn, masturbating with pillows, known large consumption of alcohol and Non practicing gays (NPG) in THEIR own home. Elders have to step down because they do not have "their house in order." Shouldn't the GB step down? They don't seem to have their "house in order."

Fantastic response! The fear that is drilled into their heads is crazy. You handled it very well. All the JW's sound like a broken record. We get the same kind of blah, blah, blah from our family.

Make the Truth Your Own

this is something that hit me just relatively recently.. the phrase "make the truth your own" is a very famous catch phrase in jw culture.

it was a pet philosophy of daniel sydlik and has been used and is used in talks, literature and song.

every witness knows this trope.

W5 Investigation

hey guys!

i just want you guys to know that today is a really great day.

there are so many jehovah's witnesses that saw this documentary and were disgusted by watchtowers policy.

Great news Christian. We are soooo happy that so many JW's saw this documentary. Karma is coming for WT and I hope we are around long enough to see the repercussions of the abuse (child abuse, emotional abuse and even physical abuse). It is time WT answers for the disgusting practices that it encourages its members to join in.

We watch your YouTube videos all the time. We enjoy how brave that you and Katja have been. Thank you for all that you do!! Hugs to you both!!!

Memorial.. To go or not to go

so, as some of you will know myself and my husband are in the process of fading.

haven't been to a meeting since beginning of 2017. .

we weren't planning on going to the memorial, but last week my mother broke down and said that we have to go to the memorial even if it's the only meeting i go to this year.

"When a person attends memorial it's like telling everyone "I still believe" and that is definitely not the case with me. "

I agree. We told our family that we are not going. It does give the family hope that you will return when you attend. We know that it upset them but we are NOT going back. They need to know that.

Pioneer School scare tactics

i just talked with a pioneer who came back from school and she said that at the end there was emphasis put on two things.. 1: stay loyal to the governing body and their teachings.. 2: beware of propaganda.

they said that in wartime the enemy will use propaganda to break the spirit of or confuse the troops.

they said the same things is happening now, so reject negative reports about the organization.. this pioneer (who is fully pimi btw and enthusiastic about it) said she asked her cotboe about if we really have that problem here.
