Receiving so much hate recently....
by stuckinarut2 inwell, as you all know, my wife (unstuck) and i are not df or da.. we just stopped attending several years back after my "apostate" online activity was found by a nosey employee of ours while she was working in our office (long story if anyone wants to know - it would have to be another thread).
we never met with any elders - no congregation judicial activity occurred (as we would never consent to do so anyway).
so our policy has been to be the same kind, loving, normal people we have always been.

Sometimes we wonder if some JW's are actually envious of those who leave. How many would love to leave but have the social ties (even with their business) and family relationships that they have to maintain.
When an ex JW exudes happiness it perplexes the still in JW. How can you be happy? You are not supposed to be. It's like the ole sayin...."misery loves company." lol

My spouse and I have felt some unkindness as well.
We will only allow it to happen once and that is it. If no one wants us around, they don't deserve us. I have ZERO expectations from anyone anymore. With zero expectations, you can't be disappointed (this goes for "worldly" people as well).
We are here if people want us and they treat us with respect, kindness and love. Otherwise, they can take a hike!
I am sorry stuck that you and your wife have been treated this way. No one deserves that. Not very Christlike behavior for those professing to be Christians.

it disturbs me because it was so well done.
(i wish i could remember the title of the song), to the strains of a solo vocalist singing in a fine "irish tenor", we see the actors from the previous videos of the last few days all assembling together in a clearing.

CO asked for everyone 20 years old & younger for a group photo

when he was finishing up his sunday talk he said that he would like if "all the children that are from this congregation, not if you're just visiting, but from this congregation to come on up on the stage right after the meeting because i want to get a picture of you.".

I got my first teaching job!
by paradiseseeker inin case you haven't read me, i am a spanish pimo who is preparing himself to become an english teacher.
well, i just wanted to share with you that i've been called to work in a high school and my first week of work has been amazing!
this job is not permanent, it will end in july, but finally i got rid of many doubts about my adequacy for this job: i love it!

We were out when the ARC occurred. We sat up until early morning hours watching it. So many people don't even know it happened. Some don't care, they are just waiting for their dead loved ones to come back and their happiness to begin. Sad!!!
