  The story of my congregation in the last five years.

  let’s start with the good news for the congregation that is.

  two new sisters were added to the group a mother and her daughter.

  We have been out for the past 5 years and it is so good to hear that the Borg is in decline and the young ones are wising up and leaving. With all of the publicity WT is receiving, who the heck would want to become a JW? Who the hell wants to join a fruity cult? lol

  Question about JW finance

  watched the jw finance video's.. they have sold all brooklyn landmarks.

  bilions.

  they are selling other property maybe up to 3000 units worldwide.. so, there is going something wrong.... there must be a giant money leak.

  Gorbatchov - You make a great point! What happened to the billions made from the NY sales?

  Did the have equity loans against these assets that had to be paid back to the investors upon sale?

  They could have been using up the equity as a piggy bank for decades to supplement less donations?

  This could be one reason they did not have a large windfall of cash after the sales. They used up their equity over the years?

  Remember, the end was coming...no need to pay it back!

  i hope soon, a Bethel insider in the know will reveal the real facts.

  JW Parents in bad shape with no retirement.

  my wife's parents are in very bad shape.

  they are both 2nd gen jws.

  my father in law worked for a large american manufacturing company in the 60s and early 70s.

  We continue to be amazed at how family still holds onto, "the end is just around the corner." They refuse to change their circumstances so we have to stand by as they all "wait on Jah." Ugh!!!!

  I don't know about anybody on this forum but I have not been sent any "manna from heaven" lately. Everything we earn, we do with a lot of hard work! No hand outs from Jah yet!!!

  Yes. We are watching our family go through tough times as well. They have given up 401k's, higher education, some gave up children and marriage. Now...they are stuck working hard labor jobs just to pay their bills.

  They won't admit it but we sense there is some resentment towards WT for all of their broken promises. WT has a lot of blood on their hands.

  Talked to a JW in the park

  so in my lunch break at work today i walked in the park, just chilling out when a woman approached and offered me a leaflet.

  didn't have to read it i knew straight away who she was.. me: my family are involved with jws.

  the new world was supposed to come in the mid-seventies but it didn't.

  Great job. It is amazing how quickly they turn off and want to high tail it outta there. I believe JW's will be having more and more "visitors" at their carts soon. There will be lots of interesting conversations.

  A ridiculous thing I found in the old young people’s book

  it was in some book for young people that i found going through the watchtower library when i was doing research for old publications, i cannot believe this lunacy, i feel so bad for the teenagers at the time who had to try to take this seriously, but they’re not a high control religion or cult though, anyways here is is : .

  if you sleep in a room alone and you find that you seem to feel special stress in this direction at night, you may be able to arrange matters to share a room with another member of your family.

  also, you may find it helpful to sleep on your side rather than on your back or face down.. 18 another thing that may be helpful is to see to it that your clothing does not unnecessarily cause friction with the sexual organs.

  Creflo Dollar did the same thing a few years ago. Guess what? He got the jet!!! There IS a sucker born every minute! As long as people give them the money, they will abuse it.

  A & E Cults-Barbara Anderson

  16 years ago dateline's report on jw's and child abuse was aired may 28, 2002, a tuesday night and tonight a&e aired on may 29, 2018, tuesday night!.

  i can't help but think how barbara has tirelessly worked to expose the child abuse issue within the watchtower/jw.org and is still working to not only expose the problem but to help change the laws in the usa to help protect children.

  she has a wealth of information gathered for over 20 years on how the governing body protects the pedophile and not help the victims .

  Life in Paradise

  so we all survive the great tribulation and now as the dead bodies of 99.9% of the world's population begin to stink up the place, the bodies become bloated and the flesh begins to fall off of the bones what happens when the elders tell us to grab a shovel and haul the corpses to a mass grave site for burial or perhaps a mass cremation and you tell them that you will not bury dead bodies.. what will the elders do?

  (i guess they are princes now since we are on the other side of the gt) will they haul the person into the back room of the candlelit kingdumb haul for a judicial meeting?

  if the person is unrepentant and doesn't follow direction from god will they be disfellowshipped or forced to move to a colony for troublemakers?

  I always found this visual interesting. Did you ever notice how on the nights when your service group or book study group was assigned to swish to toilets and mop the floors of the KH bathrooms, most would disappear! The Elders would have a really long Elders meeting and the sisters would be spending a little more time gossiping! It always amazed us how MOST would just POOF, disappear! Do you honestly think our "loving" brothers and sisters would show up for a body clean up? lol
