Eldub BIL, and Df'ed Kid's!!!!
by DwainBowman inmy super fine eldub bil, has a son that's been df'ed for a long time.
last month he deeded off 1/4 of an acre of land in the back of his pasture, bought a small local built used tiny house, and got it all set up, for his son to live in.
to everyone of the jw's in this area really look up to him and his stand on having nothing to do with his df'ed kid's or grandkids.

In JW land it's all about appearances. We wouldn't want anyone in the congregation to see that we are all just human. I'm glad he is helping his kids but he probably would "counsel" those in the hall who are doing the same for their kids.

Is Child Abuse An Issue That You Personally Have Seen In The Organization?
by minimus inas an elder, i saw one child abuse situation involving a man who wanted to be an elder and had i believe 8 children.
he was not in our congregation when this all erupted.
he denied it and moved to another hall and unbelievably, that body of elders wanted to appoint him since they believed his entire family was lying about him.

We know of 2 Elders that have been jailed for molesting their daughters. This has been over the past 4 years. We know of another one that molested a close family friends daughter, years ago.

What JW habits do you still have?
by Exelder insince leaving the jw's after over 4 decades, i can see exactly what it is and hate everything it stands for.
however, there are still some jw habits and traits that i can't get rid of:.
1. i can't swear in general conversation (i'd have to be really angry).

To this day, I have major trust issues.
I had more trouble, as a teen, in the congregation. I had zero issues with kids in school. The congregation was a nightmare. It left me scarred for life. I have never really trusted too many people. It is a skill that I constantly have to work on. I am cautious when it comes to making new "friends." I can take them or leave them. I would rather spend time with my spouse and kids. Making friends is just not a necessity for me. Too much trouble and pain.
Sad but true. I am actually very happy where I am today.

"Blood Guilty"
by new boy inguilt is such a wonderful tool used by the jehovah’s witnesses.
one of the terms they love to use is the term “blood guilty.” they have actually used this term to guilt their members into doing more and more “house to house activity” yes, they have said on numerous occasions at their kingdom halls and other major gathering that a person “could be blood guilty” for not going out in the field service activity enough.
the reason is simple.

Watchtower and the Governing Body have offended me and my family to the point that we no longer participate in their cult. Looks like WT and the GB have a lot of blood on their hands.

"The Kingdom comes first"
This is WHY he had to borrow $50 from YOU! lol
His "spiritual achievements" are boasted about but they could care less about any success or achievement you and your family may have had to work hard for. See, those are "worldly pursuits" THEIRS are "kingdom interests." It's amazing how they will criticize you all day long for all you have done but have no qualms about borrowing your money (money made from hard work and higher education).
Sound familiar? Watchtower criticizes those who pursue higher education BUT they have no problem USING those skills you have to benefit them (doctors, lawyers, nurses, engineers, etc.). Mother (WT) has taught its offspring (the arrogant members) very well. The nut doesn't fall far from the nut tree!!!

Yes, this 1969 article is still impacting our family today. They are now past retirement age (late 60's and 70's). They are working low paying, physically demanding jobs, no savings/retirement and NO WAY out.
The impact and damage that Watchtower has inflicted on so many innocent people that thought they were doing what Jehovah (aka, the organization) wanted them to do, is unforgivable. I just hope I live long enough to see Watchtower pay for all the havoc they have inflicted on people and families.
