I refused to fill out the card and shredded it. The elders have never contacted me. You can not be forced to fill out those cards.

What would happen to a JW who respectfully refused to fill out a no blood DPA?
by Island Man ini know you'll be involuntarily disassociated if you unrepentantly accepted a blood transfusion; and i know you'll be disfellowshipped for apostasy if you openly disagreed with watchtower teaching.
what if you have done none of the above but simply respectfully refused to fill out the dpa without giving any reason for your refusal - so they can't accuse you of openly disagreeing with the no-blood doctrine and df you for apostasy.
they don't know why you're refusing and you're not giving them the reason - and you're being very respectful.. what can they do?.

I have an update here in Canada. I attended the Edmonton RC on July 21 - 23. The Saturday morning attendance was 13,990 and 90 baptised. Eight adults and the rest were young adults and teenagers. Sunday morning attendance was 14,268 and Sunday afternoon was 14,558. The total Canadian attendance at 15 conventions came to 101,033 with a total of 663 baptisms. Can I have a ratio rating? Thanks.
What got my attention was the amount of baptisms for our area.

The Irony of 2017's RC "Don't Give Up" Theme
by steve2 inif the end is oh-so-very-near why the exhortation rammed home during the convention to "don't give up.
if humankind is poised right on the knife edge of the end, the sense of urgency in the organization would be breathtakingly palpable.
urgency?

i'd lost all contact with him, no facebook, no mobile number, i didn't even know his address because he'd moved house.

PE the same thing happened to me. I was in the hospital waiting for my heart valve surgery. An elder and a rank & file member came for a useless visit and requested if had 15 minutes field service time. They did not ask me how I was feeling. This religious cult is all about money and your free labour. I gave them a `0` time report as I was full of medications and I did not care.
I am handling a successful full time fade and the elders do not bother me.

I'm ready to give up. We were told we have to drive 490 miles from Regina, Sask. to Edmonton, Alberta for our convention because the meeting is special which I doubt. Any rank and file members south of Regina have to attend Calgary, Alberta. There are no regional conventions being held in Saskatchewan this year. I'm not sure what the reason the WT$ set it up like this. Is this happening in other regions?

THE WATCHTOWER (STUDY EDITION) APRIL 2017.....Scare tactics
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower (study edition) april 2017 .
“you must pay your vows to jehovah.”—matt.
5:33.. * to all intents and purposes, he presented himself as one who was wholly dedicated to god.

The WT$ is a joke and a fraud. It seems the Watchtower Society has nothing good to say about most subjects but applies fear, obligation and gilt on the rank and file members.

Were you aware of the shunning policy when becoming a JW
by UnshackleTheChains infor those who became jws, were you fully aware of the societys cruel shunning policy whilst studying?
i absolutely had no idea such a policy existed until years later.
it really only hit home when reading the horrendous stories on the internet around 2002. .

I had five jw's study with me back during 1968-1969 on short term studies. This was the exciting time period for the 1975 fiasco. Well not one of those five jw's mentioned anything about marking, shunning or disfellowshipping policies.
I worked with a young man who was df'd by an elder who worked for the same employer and was shunned. This happened during the early 1970's. This shunning policy started up big time around 1980 and is on the increase.
If I knew back during the 1960's what I know now, I would not have had anything do with baptism.

What came to mind was the horse and buggy days of the past and cutting vegetation by hand.

My Take on the Convention
by xjwsrock in4300 in attendance - 17 baptized.
odd mix of congregations assigned, i'm sure to throw off any scent of a decline.. no distinction made whatsoever between loyalty to jehovah god and loyalty to the watchtower bible and tract society.
the convention is riddled with parts whipping up your love for the creator and jesus, with a quick reminder that the wbts are their gatekeepers.. parallels are implied constantly between israel and jehovah's witnesses.

Around 33 got dunked at our RC with about 4300+ in attendance. I thought this was rather high for our region.
