If They Stopped Shunning Tomorrow?
by cofty inimagine that the cult decided to stop shunning family members on the proviso that the dfd person was not actively trying to attack the cult.. (please don't debate whether or not this is likely - it's hypothetical).
how would you respond to your family?.
personally i think i would be less than cooperative.

Life has taught me not to live with a bunch of "IF", but with realities related to cults with their intrinsic manipulative inclination, an indispensable condition for the JW's cult that struggle to survive.. -

How Do You Feel About All The Time You Wasted Being. A Jehovah's Witness?
by minimus inall that i can say is....what a shame!

Who can go back in his own life ? God has not provided us with a reverse gear. I don't care too much about the past time, even if I have been more than during forty years trapped in the WT's cult. Now I am even not fading anymore, as three months ago I have decided to withdraw me officially from the jw's org. When speaking with my daughter, my son or my wife about active JWs I do not use anymore the terms "sister" , "brother", "elder", etc. , but instead I use the terms Miss so-and-so, Mrs. so-and-so, or Mr. so-and-so. So happy to be now 100 % outside of this cult and free from any manipulation orchestrated by the seven Brooklyn or Warwick puppets.

'Anointeds' Do you know any and if so what are they like ?
by Introvert 2 inwould like to hear about any experiences anyone has had with the so called ' anointed ' .
-
TheFadingAlbatros
All the "anointed" ones, males and females, that I have had the opportunity to know in various congregations in Europe and in Asia during four decades had all this in common : they were suffering from emotional and behavioral disorders. I cannot remember of just one out of ten "anointed " ones being mentally balanced. -

Mays JW TV Broadcast/Your feedback is appreciated
by ToesUp ini have a pretty good intuition but i have to admit i am going back and forth on the jw tv may broadcast.
i keep asking myself are they really in financial trouble (wishful thinking) or are they just grabbing for more money?.
i always appreciate reading everyone's thoughts and ideas on here.. let me know what you think.

Mister Stephen Lett, one of the seven WT popes, is asking for MONEY, MONEY, MONEY and MONEY again. With his smile in the shape of a moneybox's slit he is the most capable to do it. My God ! What an hypocrisy !

May tv broadcast
by New day insomebody on another thread suggested that those still in could express their opinions on steven lett's performance.
i am still in and i was shocked, dismayed and saddened by it.
i became a witness over 30 yrs ago and the issue of donations was a non-issue for so many years.. now, it is a huge one for the org.

Mister Lett's hypocrisy is an integral part of his face all along his May TV Broadcast's talk, when he is asking, asking and asking again for more money from his submitted "co-domestics" .
His smile in the shape of a moneybox's slit speaks volumes about his true motivations.
And what a shame to use the innocence of children by inviting them (I should say by forcing them ) to put coins in "kingdom hall's" conribution boxes as examples of generosity for the rank and file JWs, Disgusting !

2015 May edition of JW Broadcasting: the GB beggar
by Gorbatchov intonight gorby and his wife watched a part of the 2015 may edition of jw broadcasting.
we couldn't force our self to watch the full stuff, because of it's sneaky way of production.
first of course the dynasty melody at the start, the world map background and the car salesman mr. lett.

Such an amount of hypocrisy in this manipulative talk of May 2015 delivered worldwide by Mr. Lett.
So happy to have recently voluntarily and officially withdrawn myself hundred percent from this Cult !!

12 signs you are a modern day Pharisee
by Zoos ini was reading through this list and was struck by how accurately it describes the watchtower royalty class.
not exactly a professional doing the writing but i think he captures it pretty well.. http://frankpowell.me/12-signs-you-are-modern-day-pharisee.
for those who cannot access the link:.

And here you've got the 13th sign :
Some GB members feel nowadays like playing the white sheep showing publicly their credentials, in Mexico or elsewhere.
Pharisees were acting the same way in their time.

Would you give your life for those that shun you?
by Esse quam videri in'no one has greater love than this, that someone would lay down his life for his friends.'.
many have been hurt by the practice of shunning.
family members, [former?
-
TheFadingAlbatros
Hard to say if I would give my life for those that shun me.
But one thing is sure, I do not feel any resentment for the members of my own family, and those of my in-laws, who feel like shunning me because I know they are manipulated by the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses.
I am so happy to have voluntarily and officially withdrawn myself from this American cult that the fact to be shunned does not affect me personally. And luckily some members of my own family are not JWs.
And life is nice !

Seriously condsidering disasscoiating
by Ashley L. ini am seriously considering disassociating myself.
i want to do this because i no longer consider myself one of jehovah's witnesses.
i no longer consider jehovah as my god and i am in a new religion now.

"More importantly if you fade you are still a JW. The thought of that repulsed me.", paulmolark dixit.
. Or in other words: It is impossible to have a foot on the moon and to act as freely as if both your feet were on the earth ... As simple as that !!!
Some decisions take a long time before one can take and make it. So it can take many years till one is ready to take and make the decision to disassociate him(her)self from the JW org.

After having been fourty years active and three years inactive I have decided to officially disassociate myself a few months ago from the Jehovah Witnesses' organization. Now that I have done it I have got much more respect for myself and I feel much more comfortable in my every day life and have lost the impression to be caught between two stools (je n'ai plus l'impression d'avoir le cul entre deux chaises) like the one I had during my three years of inactivity. The fact to be now 100 % outside of any religious organization gives me a clear understanding of things and people and the pride and joy not to move anymore in shady circles. Loosing confidence in a religious organization has not brought me to loose confidence in God.
But I recognize that to decide to officially disassociate oneself from the Jehovah Witnesses' organization is a personal decision that only can be taken after a careful consideration of different realities.
