How much fall-out can we expect?
by DATA-DOG inso the wtbts ( the gb and the branch, aka lawyers and puppet masters ) have decided to end "special pioneering" for some, if not all of the order.
there is no way to accurately predict the fall-out, but it's potentially huge!
jws, for the most part, are under educated, sheltered, unprepared, frightened humans.

On the realization you will not "live forever"
by problemaddict 2 insomething struck me last week.
i have been dealing with what i can only describe as a fear of death.
i'm not old and not in bad health.
-

The fear of death comes natural to us because it's unnatural to our nature.
I live life everyday doing good to my fellow man but especially my family.
I know when my time comes I will fall asleep happy and content.
Happy in that while I was alive I lived the life Christ asked me to live out of sincere love for Him and His sacrifice.
Love for Jehovah for his incredible sacrifice He made just so our existence would continue.
Content in that I loved my family to the fullest and gave them my best.
The opportunity to live again is a bonus that I don't intend on turning down ;-)

Are JW's preaching God's Kingdom throuout the entire world?
by Big Derp injust a quick question for anyone who can answer.
i know jw's are not preaching in certain middle east countries because of the "danger".
yet i know for a fact catholics are there despite the danger, and many are being slaughtered and raped.. i have also travelled to many arctic and sub arctic inuit and cree communities.

A First Stepping-Stone For Bethelites & Lurkers?
by The Searcher infor potential new-arrivals: .
if you are one of the many who are facing expulsion from bethels around the world in the near future - or simply a sincere j.w.
acts 13:31 - "who are now his (jesus') witnesses to the people.

When a JW, or even where I am now, it seems like a non-issue to me and I can't see it being a catalyst issue for a new lurker.
@ DOC - a true Christian will follow Christ and no one else. That is the will of God, for people to listen to his Son.
How can you say the person whom we must believe in, put our faith in, rest our faith in, are named after, and be saved by, is a non-issue?
The Searcher is right. I've always wondered even when I was 100% in, why the WTS pushed Jehovah as the sole salvation instead of the Christ. I too agree and am overwhelmed with the scriptures that indicate this. That is one of the reasons why the WTS inserted the name 'Jehovah' into so much of the New Testament. So they can quote it more!
Salvation by Christ is the premise of the New Testament!

Hello. I'm sorry to hear about your upbringing. Sounds about right with the true JW fanatics. They see Satan in everything and anything that stands in opposition.
It is too bad that they no longer come around with the mags. But hey, that's what toilet paper is for, right?
If you ever do run out of toilet paper, those mysterious letters will sure come in handy.

Cedars leaked letter requested to be taken down by WTBTS
by umbertoecho ini don't know if this is already posted so sorry people if it is.
cedars site has had a request to take down the leaked letter regarding changes to the theocratic ministry school and other issues.. the reason given by wt is that it is a "copyright" issue.
of course this validates the letters authenticity even more.. have a good day or night people.

The WTS is panicking because Cedars has released ahead of time.
Does anyone remember these BOE lines:
"Please read this letter omitting the second page to the Congregation on the third week of October AFTER the Circuit Overseer visit. Be sure to not deviate from the letter and read it as written. Remember to not read the second page as this is for the BOE only. It is recommended the letter be read with enthusiasm. Once the announcement has been made, please be sure to destroy, and we mean really burn and destroy, the previous letter dated XYXY...."

Had you thought of feeling sorry for the G.B?
by The Rebel ini only bring this to the board, because a friend of mine once said he felt sorry for the footballers who made so much money.
that comment stayed with me, and over the years, the more i thought about that comment the more i agreed with him.. i admit the g.b destroy people's life's and are the sublimation of all that's good in people's life.
there only excuse is a fantazy asylum they claim to believe in.

Stick around a while longer; that'll change.
I've seen what they are capable of. I've seen their wickedness. I've known of the suicides and deaths attributed to their teachings.
Yet, a true Christian will never hate their fellow man. If they do, you disown the Christ.

Why don't you do anything?
by WireRider ini'm not jw, so i see this all standing up and very clear from an outsider perspective (i am still seeking my path).
i joined the blog a few weeks ago.
i dated a divorced jw (jw from birth) for a couple of years recently.

You have an interesting perspective.
I don't speak for the majority but there are thousands upon thousands of current members, many of them on this forum, who have a spouse, son, daughter, father, mother, relatives, and therefore they are unable to completely break off from the group.
This organization is not stupid in that it tries to indoctrinate kids at a young age and have them baptized before they even graduate middle school. This guarantees generations after generations of followers and those stuck in limbo.
The propaganda that is spewed every meeting only reinforces the notion that, like you said, you will die if you disobey them. It sounds crazy to outsiders but the reality is much more complicated. It's the family bond that binds.
