  )...is the feeling most of us had with regard to the watchtower and the brothers leading it.

  but truly, who did we get baptized for?

  I don't know Frank, history has been against the FDS from the beginning. All starting with Russell being a Mason down to our time with Losch pushing child baptism. We are talking over 130 years of contradictions and failed prophecies.

  The growth seen is based on the harsh physiological conditioning of members for generations over.

  The FDS/GB/WTS and whatever else they can be called seem to have never had God's blessing.

  For a second, say we do stand up as a group and speak out. The only result would be an expedited exit from the WTS with pink slip in hand. The GB do not take orders or even consider rational discussions (see CoC R. Franz) they are as arrogant as any of those Wall Street Bankers.

  I think at this point in the game, all we can do is pray that God brings the change those sincere brothers and sisters are looking for and have for many, many decades.

  Scripture is clear. There's only ONE mediator between men and God and that's Jesus.

  The FDS has taken the role of Christ by force.

  All things point to God having enough of it which is why we see so much recklessness in the org. right now plus all the pedo suits coming to light. God has clearly given his back to the WTS.

  Now, suddenly they want to make a convention about the Christ when they have all but ignored Him.

  a fresno man is facing murder charges in court this week for the shooting death of a jehovahs witness who later died after refusing a blood transfusion.. according to police, quevedo and silva argued over over gang membership with quevedo returning later in the evening to shoot silva through the security door at his home.. silva reportedly told a fresno police officer jehovah, jehovah, im dying, im dying, as he was taken to a hospital where he died during surgery after refusing a blood transfusion because he was a jehovahs witness.. it is the belief of many jehovahs witnesses that it is against gods will to have a blood transfusion.. according to defense attorney antonio alvarez, quevedo should not have been charged with murder because silva refused a transfusion that could have saved his life.. prosecutor gabriel brickey disagrees and will call fresno county pathologist michael chambliss to testify that, even if silva had received the transfusion, he would have died because one bullet hit a a major vein.. quevedo has already served time in prison for felony battery and theft and was on supervised release when he was arrested for shooting silva.. if convicted of murder he would face life in prison.. original story with suspect picture can be found here: fresno shooting.

  you know about my not-so-ugly divorce and how me and my wife found out the religion is false.

  she still attends while my 17 year old has been raging on me about all the wasted time he suffered from by being in this religion.

  he think's his life is ruined, very angry we did not learn this was a cult earlier(he was 14 when he stopped attending after reading the revelation book, he said "in all time and history, how could a trumpet blown in revelation have anything to do with a jw bible student convention statement"?.

  You really can't blame the kid for being angry. But please remind him that he has his whole life ahead of him and that statistically speaking he would have never gone pro unless he was almost superhuman all through high school and college (sad, but true).

  I blamed mom for about 1 day then got over it and went on with my life and family of course.

  One thing to keep in mind though, and for anyone else who will find themselves in the same position of facing angry children; it is our responsibility as parents to thoroughly investigate any organization prior to joining it and dragging them along.

  book presented a large amount of new light or clarified understanding of the events of the great tribulation.. here i am presenting it in chronological order -- this is the governing body's updated chronological order of events for the time right before the great tribulation through armageddon:.

  A big hello and thank you

  i just wanted to introduce myself and say a big hello to all of my mentally diseased friends.. i say friends because i have been lurking for some time so it feels like home (us lurkers are a bit scared and cautious so it takes a while).

  i won't bore you with too many details, but i am a born in, currently serving as the cobe of a congregation.

  my wife and i have pioneered for the last 10 years and were shaken awake by that ridiculous 15th july 2013 wt about the generation and 1914.. my wife who is much smarter than me has questioned for years.

  Hello IWB,

  I'm personally happy for your awakening. It's sickening when you see so many love ones who have become walking drones of the GB. I'm still in but mentally out. I make it to a meeting here and there mostly to appease my family. I hope to one day break free completely with entire family. It's not going to be easy but I can see it happening with the concerted effort I've put in so far. It's hard to sit through talks riddled with so many lies that is aimed at keeping everyone in submission to the WTS.

  Welcome and please continue healing emotionally. Many good people on this board and many are willing to listen at anytime without criticism.

  I'm sorry you had to experience all of this. Having parents themselves reject you or view you as a problem is a testament to the power of subtle mind control the WT has over so many members. You are incredibly brave Miss Behaving. Don't give up and continue looking ahead. If you still believe in God, pray your heart out and ask for guidance. Remember that the WT merely uses Jehovah God in furtherance of their unethical treatment of their members. They are scum and deserve every verdict that goes against them. You reap what you sow, and I can only hope the WT dies a slow death.

  There are some very good people on this board that are always ready to help you. Take it slow and know that many of us here will be here when you are ready to continue your journey out of this mental enslavement.

  Something tells me 1914...

  after todays watchtower lesson, and the lessons coming, something tells me bigger and bigger new understandings are coming.

  and that it will culminate with 1914. notice how jesus is now coming, and no longer already here.

  the current understanding is both, he is here and hes also coming.

  I believe you are right. Although this weekend's talk centered around the 1914 date and how the WT reaches it, all signs point to an overhaul of long held beliefs. This concurs with the type/anti-type reviews done lately.

  The new bible also notes 1914 as being an "about" date not an exact date.

  Funny thing is the flock will continue without batting an eye. Makes me sick inside.
