Are JW's preaching God's Kingdom throuout the entire world?
by Big Derp injust a quick question for anyone who can answer.
i know jw's are not preaching in certain middle east countries because of the "danger".
yet i know for a fact catholics are there despite the danger, and many are being slaughtered and raped.. i have also travelled to many arctic and sub arctic inuit and cree communities.

A First Stepping-Stone For Bethelites & Lurkers?
by The Searcher infor potential new-arrivals: .

acts 13:31 - "who are now his (jesus') witnesses to the people.

When a JW, or even where I am now, it seems like a non-issue to me and I can't see it being a catalyst issue for a new lurker.
@ DOC - a true Christian will follow Christ and no one else. That is the will of God, for people to listen to his Son.
How can you say the person whom we must believe in, put our faith in, rest our faith in, are named after, and be saved by, is a non-issue?
The Searcher is right. I've always wondered even when I was 100% in, why the WTS pushed Jehovah as the sole salvation instead of the Christ. I too agree and am overwhelmed with the scriptures that indicate this. That is one of the reasons why the WTS inserted the name 'Jehovah' into so much of the New Testament. So they can quote it more!
Salvation by Christ is the premise of the New Testament!

Hello. I'm sorry to hear about your upbringing. Sounds about right with the true JW fanatics. They see Satan in everything and anything that stands in opposition.
It is too bad that they no longer come around with the mags. But hey, that's what toilet paper is for, right?
If you ever do run out of toilet paper, those mysterious letters will sure come in handy.

Cedars leaked letter requested to be taken down by WTBTS
by umbertoecho ini don't know if this is already posted so sorry people if it is.
cedars site has had a request to take down the leaked letter regarding changes to the theocratic ministry school and other issues.. the reason given by wt is that it is a "copyright" issue.
of course this validates the letters authenticity even more.. have a good day or night people.

The WTS is panicking because Cedars has released ahead of time.
Does anyone remember these BOE lines:
"Please read this letter omitting the second page to the Congregation on the third week of October AFTER the Circuit Overseer visit. Be sure to not deviate from the letter and read it as written. Remember to not read the second page as this is for the BOE only. It is recommended the letter be read with enthusiasm. Once the announcement has been made, please be sure to destroy, and we mean really burn and destroy, the previous letter dated XYXY...."

Had you thought of feeling sorry for the G.B?
by The Rebel ini only bring this to the board, because a friend of mine once said he felt sorry for the footballers who made so much money.
that comment stayed with me, and over the years, the more i thought about that comment the more i agreed with him.. i admit the g.b destroy people's life's and are the sublimation of all that's good in people's life.
there only excuse is a fantazy asylum they claim to believe in.

Stick around a while longer; that'll change.
I've seen what they are capable of. I've seen their wickedness. I've known of the suicides and deaths attributed to their teachings.
Yet, a true Christian will never hate their fellow man. If they do, you disown the Christ.

Why don't you do anything?
by WireRider ini'm not jw, so i see this all standing up and very clear from an outsider perspective (i am still seeking my path).
i joined the blog a few weeks ago.
i dated a divorced jw (jw from birth) for a couple of years recently.

You have an interesting perspective.
I don't speak for the majority but there are thousands upon thousands of current members, many of them on this forum, who have a spouse, son, daughter, father, mother, relatives, and therefore they are unable to completely break off from the group.
This organization is not stupid in that it tries to indoctrinate kids at a young age and have them baptized before they even graduate middle school. This guarantees generations after generations of followers and those stuck in limbo.
The propaganda that is spewed every meeting only reinforces the notion that, like you said, you will die if you disobey them. It sounds crazy to outsiders but the reality is much more complicated. It's the family bond that binds.

where shall we go
by Sabin inyesterday i read something that hurt my heart.
at a talk given by a brother lyman swingle ( i apologize if i am stepping out of line by using this) he said "that if you leave the jw ( i find it difficult to refer to it as the truth now days) you may as well go jump off a bridge".
this i think is disgraceful talk to say to any body let alone an audience in which children are present.

Lyman Swingle should have known better. But then again, I can't say with certainty what his state of mind was in terms of actually twisting scripture or going with the majority.
Who we learned the good news of the Christ and the fundamental biblical truth should be of no consequence to you or anyone that is aware of the false teachings of the WTS. If that includes Lyman, then so be it.
Jehovah God knew we would experience this and therefore, we can take comfort in the following scriptures:
1 Corinthians 1:10-17 - ...
I appeal to you, brothers and sisters,[a] in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11 My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12 What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas[b]”; still another, “I follow Christ.” 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so no one can say that you were baptized in my name. 16 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
And ..... 2 Corinthians 10:1-6 - ......
I myself, Paul, appeal to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ—I who am humble when face to face with you, but bold toward you when I am away!— 2 I ask that when I am present I need not show boldness by daring to oppose those who think we are acting according to human standards.[a] 3 Indeed, we live as human beings,[b] but we do not wage war according to human standards;[c] 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not merely human,[d] but they have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments 5 and every proud obstacle raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ. 6 We are ready to punish every disobedience when your obedience is complete.
And .....John 8:32 - ......
...and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
And .....John 8:40 - ......
....but now you are trying to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. This is not what Abraham did.

Tired of the truth... Tired of doubting
by Deltawave ini'm reaching out here, i've known ttatt for about 3-4 years now.
sadly when i first grasped it i had a total mental breakdown as i was a hard core firm to the core pioneer and 110% believer of my faith.!
now nearly 2years on after my breakdown i still have to attend to please my jw wife.

Hello Deltawave - I can certainly understand your thinking, feelings, and anguish. I've been there and it's not a pleasant place. Take courage my brother! You are actually obeying Jehovah God in that you do not fear or adhere to the false teachings of the WTS. Keep your faith and pray to Jehovah for comfort.
You are certainly not alone at all. Think of Jeremiah, Jonah, Noah, and Lot, and plenty others who were basically in the minority in their thinking and outlook and they were heavily persecuted and ridiculed.
There is no better feeling than to be on the side of righteousness. Be well friend.

First post I’ve seen where a Circuit Overseer is trying to denigrate the Royal Commission. Are these new instructions from WT?

I feel sorry for them in the sense that they are my fellow man. Therefore, as a true Christian, I have an obligation to love them whether I like it or not. Doesn't take away from the fact that I can call them hypocrites just like the Christ did with the Pharisees, Scribes, etc.
