@ freddo and Searcher - Oh yeah, this is a site that welcomes anyone and everyone. Just don't say nothing positive about the Org or ask for spare magazines and you'll be just fine.

I don't think I will be able to escape the JWs ...
by nevaagain ini know i will get a lot of backslash on this forum for saying this, but as it looks like, i won't ever be able to escape the jws.
i have been a born in, third generation jw and awoken in one way or another (i joined this forum 15 years ago) for a very long time.
but i have adapted to the jw lifestyle to a point where it does not bother me anymore.

That's a very interesting perspective neeva. You are spot on with many points you make in terms of having to adopt to a new world or society so to speak.
If you're entire life has always been with the JW's then I can see where the difficulty lies. Your entire social strata revolves and has always revolved around the JW's.
Don't take what I'm about to write personally. And if you are offended, I apologize, however, I need you to be aware of something that perhaps you are not realizing.
Your entire life has been either directly or indirectly dictated to you by being a JW. Your thinking, your speech, your dress, your grooming, your friends, yours jobs, your hobbies, your spare time, your eating habits, your entertainment, your family life, even the kind of pets you own. Being a JW, you have ceased to exist and your freewill has been stripped away. Now, you may be thinking, "heck no!" "I choose to do what I want to do!"
Not so neeva. Think about it friend. You said it yourself: "So many gave me the advice to either leave or at least fade from the witnesses. But I feel way too lonely to do that. I am 36 years old now and meeting new people at this age is getting harder and harder."
My sincere and humble advice to you is: Keep all the good that you learned and trash the rest, but get out there in the world and live! Experience the beautiful aspect of life! Experience what it's like to get up on Saturday morning and do as you please! Redo your entire thinking and move it!
The other choice is to continue living in the world that has already been dictated to you.
I wish you the best and hope you can experience being free mentally and physically.

Moving to Warwick Video incl. Morning Worship
by Listener ina new video is up about the commencement of moving to warwick.shawn bartlett tells the viewers that jehovah has said, through the governing body, ‘it’s time to move out of brooklyn.
‘ then helper robert lucciona says ‘ the governing body, these brothers, as soon as they see god’s direction, they just move, it doesn’t matter if it is long held, cherished ideas, this is the way it has to be done, as soon as they see jehovahs direction.
he just kept nudging imperfect humans, he knew where he wanted us and then we end up where we are supposed to be.

Selloff Hinted At Assembly
by thedepressedsoul inthe last talk at the assembly made an interesting statement, "we can show faith by following direction if we're asked to move to another kingdom hall for better use of dedicated christian funds".
this statement has everyone talking.
i spoke to multiple individuals and they heard the same thing at different assembly's.. i know they have been "evaluating" all kingdom halls the last year or two.

Their sh** castle is crumbling and they are trying to stay afloat by any means possible. And if it means dislocating members and having them travel farther so be it.
Good times!

Why are there still so many of humanity that are immersed onto the lies, ignorance and delusions of religion ?
by Finkelstein inall religions under critical examination has been recognized inherently as formative lies devised to appeal to human emotions and as a means to cultivate power and control for a select propagating few.
knowledge acquired through scientific inquiry and evaluation has proven that all religious adherence was mostly drawn out human ignorance targeted toward the emotions and consciousness of people.
here we are in the 21 century and people like the jws are still adhering to the lies of christianity and how this religion developed over time.

The Bible is proven correct in terms of the current world situation becoming worse. Morality has gone down the toilet, heinous crimes have become common. Murders are common everyday occurrences. Children are much more rebellious than when WE were children.
Still yet, I do concede that overall violent crimes have continued to drop. Human health has gotten better and longevity has increased. I also concede that natural disasters have more or less remained steady.
I don't believe that we will ever return to 1950s levels of crime and morality.

It's 2016 not 1952. The street is not really common but it happens more often than you think.

Any Others of the "Anointed"?
by Hernandez ini was baptized in 1985, was a regular pioneer, ministerial servant, and on the way to becoming an elder when i left the witnesses in 1999. i also was one of those who claimed and (at the time ) believed i was one of the anointed.. i am wondering if there are any others here who also claimed they were of the anointed?
how did you come to that conclusion?
how do you feel about your claim now that you are out?.

Thanks for sharing your story. It's interesting to get another view of how people feel when they have "the calling". Of course this "calling" is something that apparently just pops up for some but can be burdensome to others because of the Org's view on new ones.
Over the years a few friends of mine have started to claim they are of this class. Whether they felt something different than the rest of us is highly doubtful. The anointed feel no different than the rest of us professing faith in Christ. That feeling that some "anointed" get can actually be quite deceiving if they are practicing JW's. Satan continues to fool people by turning into an innocent angel.
For example, you yourself say you just felt you were anointed. Yet you did not remain with the JW's. In all honesty, I believe your claim is validated by the fact that you did not remain with a false organization. Still yet, you really are not a special class but rather part of an even bigger body, Christ's body, whom we are all a part of. You just happen to have the holy spirit operating within you when you read the NT and your emotions carry you right along as well. I've felt the same exact thing when I read the NT or view a movie based on Christ and see him suffer.
You are right when you say the scriptures does not teach two different callings. This is the GB's claim to fame and power hold over members beliefs. They practically hang on every word of theirs. Let's cut to the chase. If the GB started to sell their sh** in a bag for $50 lb you would have members sending in orders by the thousands. Members have been, for a lack of a better word, brainwashed to believe anything the GB says or prints. It's not until some event or some notable change takes place that actually strikes a cord within the members mind that the doubting starts and then the house of cards starts to fall apart.
Paul clearly said there's only one baptism, one spirit, one calling, and one Lord over all. I hope that I'm alive when the GB finally gets theirs. God is not stupid and I believe we are starting to see the beginning of the end with those maggots. They are truly evil in the fullest sense of the word. Keep up the good fight my friend.

Science the bible and some telling scriptures
by Crazyguy inif one reads about god creating the earth with any critical thinking you'll notice that he created vegetation and the trees before the sun.
another one that i just read about was the stories about the golden calves.
one story involves the making of a golden calf by aaron and the other is about the golden calves that were set up at bethel and i think dan.

@ prologos - I understand. Sometimes I even have to use it in order to make a point. It's one of those unfortunate things that once the word is introduced, it only makes sense to use it for your point to make sense. Wait, I'm not making sense now. Ah, you get the point. LOL.

@ prologos - I like you, I really do, but if you can refrain from using the word "Jehovah" it would be greatly appreciated. The truth is nobody knows the vowels used if any were used at all. The proper way is YVWH. It's less painful on the eyes.
