how do you wake up someone taken from us by these screwed up people?.

our son was hooked by a jw at the age of 25. within 3 months they were married and we never even new about it.

he is now 29 and has nothing to do with his family(except his sister the odd time, when he needs something) of any freinds.. we are lost and have been for four years.. .

Son, I acknowledge that when your mother and I first heard about your decision to become a Witness, we may not have reacted in helpful ways. I look back on the arguments we had and wished I had said things differently so you could see how much we love you and want what is best for you. We'd like to meet up with you with an agreement that we try to repair any damage. You are our son. Nothing changes that. We respect you have a right to make your own decisions. Personally, if I have said anything to offend or upset you, I am truly sorry. Love, Dad

Yes I E-Mailed this exact reply to him. He did reply back on a good sounding note but don't know what's next.

Tell them your son from another city is studying (not converted) and has been insisting you make a visit to the Kingdom Hall. Tell them you are curious because it has really helped him straighten out his life.

The thing is I was thinking of showing up to the KingDumb Hall that he goes to......Don't know if that's advisable??

I just don't know of all the scriptures/quotes to throw at him to think about. So unsure what to do so don't make matters worse. However I don't know if they can get worse.....We really have nothing to do with him now for four years.

it seems like we have had quite a few new members join up over the last few months!.

i guess that most of us "lurked" here for some time before we got the courage to actually join up and start as a proper forum member?

I've found it very informative so far. All I need is to learn and memorize all the questions to slowly feed our son to try and "Wake" him up.

Is it really allowed for a JW to listen to radio or look at TV??

i have a feeling i am going to have to explain to my jw folks why i have decided to allow my children to participate in holidays at school.

theyll probably be wondering too why i will get together with our non jw family for the holidays.. .

we know jws avoid holidays because of their pagan origins.

I've heard the J-Dubbs refer to us worldly people as pagans.

What picks my ass is;

Who do most of them work for? Pagans.

Where do most of them buy their groceries from? Pagans.

Where do most of them go to eat at a restaurant, who prepares the food? Pagans.

Where do they get their vehicles from? Pagans.

Where does their gas and repairs come from? Pagans.

Do they stitch their own clothes? No.......They buy them from Pagans.

The retards don't believe in Christmas and various other Holidays but when their employer gives them "Stat. Holiday Pay" and days off for the Holidays........................They gladly accept and take it.

A bit "Double Standard" don't you think?

Anyone know or hear about this one in Regina?

She was apparently struggling to get out of the bullshit cult. She worked at the Post Office in the city here. She would be found in the lunch room on a night shift with a Bible in her hand and drinking Crown Royal. Other workers would get her home and try avoid her losing her job. She finally walked onto a train track and put her back to an oncoming train just on the West side of Regina.
