when my mom was married to her first husband, who turned out to be a loon and he wasn't a jdub, my mom went back to the "truth".
she told her elders what was up and they asked her to call his house at night. well she did and a female picked up the phone and they told my mom that she could divorce and be free to remarry, because "they don't go looking through windows anymore to see if someone is cheating".
well, 23 years later my sister is married to a loon and hates his guts BUT he IS a witness. she moved back out here to ca from fla, and when she called him at 3 in the morning to talk a female picked up the phone. but this time when my sister told the elders (the same elders that "helped" my mom) they said that she can't prove he cheated on her just because a female picked up the phone.
i think that is DOUBLE STANDARDS!

WT Crazy Rulings on SEX and Marriage---
by JT ina few post over the question was posted about what was the finally straw for you leaving wt and farkel highlighted all the crazy dogmas of wt and tongue and cheeked commented that he could deal with all those things except the ban on bj.. so some of the guys here at work asked me to explain it to them what ban on bj- .
as i was explaining it the issue of remarriaged came up and i found it most interesting how once again wt makes up it's own rules for folks lives.. .
consider this - in africa- a man can take on multiple wives in many countries since his religion allows him to do so and still have gods approval.. so when he starts to study the bible with jw he is told that since he has been taught something that is not supported by the bible the taking of multiple wives for christians ( ok solomon was the first playa on record) .

my pet peeve is someone who is dirty, and they try and use the excuse that they are "poor". it does not cost that much money to go to the store to buy cleaner for your house.
and late people piss me off. if you say you are going to be somewhere at a certain time- YOU HAVE PEOPLE WAITING FOR YOU- BE THERE!!!!katie

mine have stood by w/strong convictions not to have contact w/me.
they have to have some being that i have kids that they want to see (but that is very minimal).
