My husband and I watched that last night. If you think about how short he is, even in platforms, those dancers had to be TINY! None of them could've been over 5' tall. I mentioned to my husband, "Prince is gonna have to go to bed right after this, if he wants to be up in time for Sunday meeting! I wonder if he'll visit Bethel while he's in NYC."

OK, I't My Turn As The Newbie
by BlackPearl ini'm not sure where to start, probably in two major areas.
mechanics thing, that can't work, and what i see as the lack of true love in the brotherhood.
i've been in "the truth" or lack thereof, for about 30 years, give or take a little.

Welcome to the board! We're glad to have you!
As far as privileges for young brothers, it used to scare me to think that a baptized ten-year-old could lead a field service meeting of sisters (which happened quite a bit in Kenosha, WI and Belvidere, IL)...baptized kid trumps baptized grown woman. It's really weird, when you think about it. -

Welcome to the board! You'll find that this is a place where you can be YOURSELF, and don't have to worry too much about what other people will think of you. Glad to have you here!

And here I am, enjoying the fellowship of brothers and sisters. This is so much better. I could never wear my Invader Zim slippers to the Kingdom Hall, or enjoy coffee while I take in my, um... "nourishment"? It's not all fun and games...I have three classes online and I need to post some assignments. At least I know that no one HERE will get down on me for leaving early to go study for school! HA!

I sure hope life begins at forty. I have ten years to go, and it'd be nice to think there's something to look forward to!

That cruise to Alaska sound like fun! One of these days, my husband and I will go, as I miss seeing the Northern Lights. Even though it's not for a while, make sure to take tons of pictures, and share when you get back! Since you're going in the summer, you'll get to have 20-hour days!
Yeah, you don't want to go to Vegas. Haven't you ever watched CSI? People die like flies, there! At least TWO grisly murders a week, and its mostly the tourists! ;P -

No help from the JW brotherhood?
by greendawn induring your time as jws were there times that you were in need for some help from the jw brotherhood but felt let down because no one cared to help you?
did you feel resentful and began to suspect that this org is heartless and hypocritical?

Just about every day I was there. It's funny, because my mom makes all kinds of excuses for why the brothers never help out her and my dad. back in the day, she used to complain a lot about it, then after I told her it was one of the reasons I left, she changed her tune. Now it's okay for people to ignore her.
