JWs at Hearst Castle
by concerned mama inmy family and i just got home from our summer road trip.
we drove 6815 km from our home in alberta down the western coast of the us to disneyland, then back home through utah (mormon country), idaho and montana.
great trip!!!!

well, i ran into him last night at the club and confronted him,, i asked him why he told on us, i just wanted to know, he said he didnt know why, he just felt pressured..i asked if he told on himself he said no!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dede... Go for it! Take the Necessary Actions to get even with them. I wonder if you can call the press about doing an expose of the JW Disfellowshipping and show them on what grounds you were disfellowshipped. Expose the world for the STUPID religion that they are. Recently, the press in Tampa/St. Pete did an expose of the JWs.
You got one thing right about the JWs: They are LIARS and HYPOCRITES; let me add that they are all First Class at being Liars and Hypocrites.

No surprise there: All JWs pretty much do that. They like to criticize non-JWs and ex-JWs, but when we ask them question, they start dancing around it without answering or not answer at all. They are nothing but a bunch of cowards: If they criticize and make statements, then they ought to take criticisms and questions.

Birthdays & the Cult of the Diminished Indi...

i got greetings from a number of friends from here in atlanta and also from people who had never met me from around the world since my birthday announcement was carried on a couple of the central bear pages on the internet.. there is clearly no prohibition against birthdays in the bible.
the reason the watchtower prohibits birthday celebrations is the same reason they discourage college, extracurricular activities in school, etc.

First, let me say Happy Belated Birthday!
Second, You have brought valid points about why the WTS prohibits birthdays as well as going to college. Like you said, the WTS is against individual thinking or individual achievement. Yet, that view (from the WTS part) is very hypocritical. You see: The Williams sisters are (or claim to be) JWs, but yet I don't think the WTS will say squeak about their achievements in tennis. Why? My guess would be the amount of $$$ that these two can bring to the JWs and the WTS. A poster, I think wrote a thread that his niece (an active JW) is going to college on a scholarship and shuns her grandfather though he's not a JW. That is very hypocritical too from the WTS part because it is allowing some people to go and forbidding others to go.
A very valid point you also brought up is about the pagan rituals surrounding courting, weddings and anniversaries. I may add they claim that they forbid anything that has pagan origins.

watchtower.org and freeminds demonized at study
by heathen inas we were digesting the spiritual food at the bookstudy tonight [yes i actually had to see this for myself] the topic of watchtower.org and freeminds came up from the elder in charge of the study.he flagrantly discredited freeminds with verbal sarcasm and distain and condemned watchtower.org as apostate and totally demonized the website .during this he mentioned he was not abliged to answer any of the questions that may have been raised about the society and beliefs because he felt that jesus didn't always answer the pharisees with what they would have expected like something that would incriminate himself.then the term legal department was brought to the fore.i really couldn't believe this is their reaction to inquiring minds.

JW inservice...

well i am at this internship for 12 weeks, so this is the only one i will be exposed to, and guess what it is about.
