  Shaklee and Long Distance Telephone Plans

  i just had a random recall about jws and what they used to peddle.. in my area of pennsylvania (usa), there was a brother who used to be the shaklee dealer.. there was also a brother who owned his own landscaping company and sold long distance phone plans.

  in fact, i remember 3 brothers who sold lond distance plans.. did anyone else experience these products or others?

  I remember, after I was baptized, this brother was pushing hard for me to be one of his down line salespeople for Primerica. I'm not sure anymore of what the product was, I think either worthless investment or insurance products.

  Anyway, he was on my ass to the point where it got very uncomfortable for me to push Primerica products on every family member I knew and to get them to sell to everyone they knew as well. I eventually stopped taking his calls. One day, when I did happen to answer the phone, this "brother" dressed me down pretty good for being unreliable, a waste of his time, and a loser for not succumbing to this MLM scheme.

  It was one of the many straws that broke the camel's back for me wanting to have anything to do with being a witness.

  Bro. Schroeder dies

  i just received this news from a bro who has connections in bethel.... .

  bro albert d schroeder died at 10:30 am new york time today at brooklyn bethel...he was 94 yrs old.. he was born on april 7, 1911 in saginaw, michigan and entered bethel service in 1932. he was appointed a member of the governing body on december 18, 1974. bro schroeder's life story appeared in the march 1, '88 wt pages 10-17: entitled: "my life in jehovah's spirit-directed organization.".

  i don't know if the "today" means it was actually today...as i can't be sure when my friend received this news... but anyway, another of the old guys bites the dust.. .

  It is not just after the CONventions when they are in full cult mode. It is right before and after so-called special talks too.

  My wire earlier this week was talking about her circuit overseers visit and how there was going to be some oh so special talk at the end that she was inviting me to go to. I gave no affirmative answer.

  When she woke up and was getting dressed yesterday, she got the message that I had no intention of going to hear this "special talk" so she left in cult mode mean mugging and giving me the silent one word answers treatment. She was that way all day acting as if she had nothing to say to me.

  6 police shot in louisiana and 3 dead so far.. i'm waiting for a response from the nra stating that we are safer when we are all armed.

  the police had guns and the shooter(s) had guns so i guess they are good with it.. our thoughts and prayers go out to the families affected.. rub a dub.

  I watched my wife get up, dressed, and go pick up some people she is studying with all three days and take them to the assembly with her. After my near outburst with her last year upon listening to several speakers pretty much pimp out the eligible single sisters only to brothers with position,I think she got the message that I'm not very interested in anything those ole geriatric turds have to say.
