Too Much Discontent in the Congregation Part 3
by Simon Templar innow, 80-85 years later, we are still here.
if i was to do the counsel with a brother who had this much experience, i would have just thanked him for doing the talk, and marked him good on the point.
this is a good way to get money though.

Asking to reduce the local Bethel family: a know management strategy
by Gorbatchov ingorby has worked in some management positions and is now an management advisor for a > 20.000 employee corporation.. once in the five years we have reorganizations, integrations and restructures.. one of the used strategy's is to ask the people the following question:.
"if you had to reduce 50% of your work, what priority's would you choose?".
so, we ask our employee feedback for a 50% reduce of their work.

Ahh.....
the old management principle of the illusion of inclusion.
I've seen this management style in action many a time, particularly when new management comes in with mandate as a change agent.

JWs have more good points than bad
by lsw1961 in1) many who were on the destructive path have been transformed by their teachings (this includes me who was once vicious, and presumptuous and atheistic).
2) equal monthly pay to all members of the bethel community regardless of whether they are bc members or sweepers.
this is something that still remains as an unattainable dream for the world.

How to handle invites to dinner after Sunday meeting?
by FadeToBlack ini have not been to a meeting for over a year.
yesterday, when my wife returned from the 1 day assembly, i got an invite for dinner next sunday.
i said i would think about it, to be honest, as nice as the people are, it would just be boring listening to their comments about everything jw.

Accept, go and have the food and the company, but if the conversation starts pointing the finger at you in some way, offer your thanks for the lovely meal and say your farewells.
ROFLMAO.....
Reminds me of a time during my awakening when my wife accepted the invitation of some elders to come to our home.
I guess they'd heard about the last time a couple of elders came into my home trying to dress me down.
The first words out of their mouths was "You're not going to throw us out of here are you?"

Mobile Hotspot - JWFACTS.COM - Assembly & Conventions
by thedepressedsoul inhere is an idea i tested.
works at both assemblies and conventions.
i have noticed at the last convention and at my last assembly that when i opened up my wifi setting, tons of hotspots came up for people tethering their tablets to their smart phones.

Provide an "approved" Wi Fi infrastructure at assemblies
I surely hope there is no expectation like this from an organization about to kick life long bethelites they promised satisfying and spiritually rewarding careers in service to jehovah.
Some of those people are about to get the rudest awakenings they've ever seen.
My wife was already talking to me about how some ex CO and DO are walking away from the organization in disgust after giving them the most productive years of their lives only to be kicked to the curb at a time when they are most in need. Of course she was telling me this under the admonition that theyhave not too long to wait until armageddon.
"Go home, be warm and well fed!!!!"
Indeed....

You need to marry a ministerial Servant!
by John Aquila ina single sister in her 40s and her two single daughters were visiting my mom.
i would say her daughters are in their early 20s.
my mom got sleepy and we put her to bed but the three sisters stayed to finish their drinks..

Me and the wife almost got in a heated argument about this while I was sitting with her during the last regional where they pitched only marrying a male with privileges in the hall. ...and if he didn't have privileges, ask yourself why. It was pitched as part of a letter from the governing body.
She really didn't like my caricature of it as the governing body pimping out the sisters.

If you are out, you spouse in spiritual danger and she must ignore your advice because it goes against the holy teachings.
That is a mighty fine line she'll have to walk, especially if he's the family breadwinner.
If her new spiritual leaders expect to exercise that much authority over her and she acquiese's to their authority unquestioningly, then I believe that they not only should be willing to take on her expenses as well, but, in fact, she should expect them to.
Though, we know, that there is a better chance of her being able to breath air in space than that happening.
In a veiled sense, intimated this hierarchical principle to my wife years ago who hasn't had to hold a job in the past 20 years. She got the message....CLEARLY. She knew exactly what side of her bread held the butter.
Too many times I see JWs bend over ass backwards trying to follow some stupid JW rule or principle in an effort to look good in the congregation and keep pace with the organization, yet offload the expenses of all their decisions to someone else and expect for them to be paid for.
I've observed over the years that the WT organization does this in a big way.

Looks like its time to play the headship card.....
If she's as staunch a XX chromosome JW as she thinks she is, she'll have no choice but to agree.

My brother-in-law just graduated PSS
by Frazzled UBM inso i was scrolling down facebook and i saw that my brother-in-law was getting lots of likes and congrats (including sadly from my wife) for graduating pss.
initially i thought peter pan (he is incredibly immature for a 23 year old) had gone against character and completed some sort of educational or vocational course until i found that pss stood for pioneer service school.
i was tempted to comment how sad this was but instead commented that "no matter how much you do they will always make you feel like it is not enough".

Isn't this just what the organization is good at.....shifting their operating expenses to others as often as they can get away with.
