  Reversal of disfellowshipping on appeal?

  does someone here know of a case where an individual was dfd.

  and then appealed and the decision was reversed?

  heard of that before and was just curious.

  I appealed my df'ing, partly due to never hearing a solid charge...other than "uncontrollable woman." At the appeal hearing they admitted that mistakes had been made and accusations were false after I called in their witnesses against me and questioned them making them contradict each other. Anyway, they reversed the decision after which I stood up, shook their hands and disassociated myself stating that I was df'ing them. That was one of my favorite moments...very liberating. They further recommended me for reinstatement 4 times but the original committee would not respond. hmmm.......

  Tonite in many halls Blood Cards and Identity cards are being issued to consenting JW's. Non-custodial non-JW parents may have legal recourse as to their children's treatment in the time of need. Please visit Freeminds Legal dept. for a document to be filled out and filed with schools, hospitals, pediatricians, etc. to counter the madness. Parental rights of both parents need to be considered and having a document filed will hold legal weight against blood cards, and guarantee your input should the matter be remanded to a court.

  HELP!!! I need a name

  we can't agree on a name for our soon to be born baby boy.. i love the name tristen.

  he hates it.. he wants a basic name like bobby, tony, etc.. is there a name that sounds like tristen but isn't?.

  Is Warning re Possible Lawsuit Required?

  this is just a general question for anyone who might have some legal background on the matter.. if (and i expect there will be) an announcement is made to our former congregation that we are "disassociated", can i just go ahead and sue them (individual elders in the congregation) for slander and defamation of character?

  the decision to make the announcement is one that has to go through the body of elders, right??.

  is it necessary, when the elders come calling, to say "i will sue the shirt off your back and the bloomers off your @$$ if you make any announcement that slanders my name or defames my character to anyone"??

  No, you have no responsibility to give a warning. However, if you do give one, document it perhaps by sending it via registered mail and speak clearly and consicely.

  If you later learn that the request has been violated (which it will), sending a letter can be fun and perhaps give you more ammo when they react. They will either ignore you or give you even more of a case. End the letter with one of my favorite phrases, "Govern yourself accordingly" (translated: INCOMING!)

  one thing i found effective to recover from shunning by the jws, which devastated me, was this truth.

  people tend to move in "tribes.

  " i had been in a rather exotic and weird tribe, the watchtower and jehovah's witnesses.
