Exactly. How are they not seeing the hypocrisy. Growing up with sportsmen JW's, they made a HUGE deal out of bleeding meat. Spill the blood on the ground stuff. And the blood sausage horror stories. We couldn't even buy Revlon lipstick because of the pigments supposedly from blood and we had to watch out for lecithin additives too. How are they wrapping their minds around this?

his last name was escobar.

apparently he wrote a note saying someone was going to gehenna and it was found on an airplane or in his baggage or whatever and he was arrested?

Apparently he wrote a note saying someone was going to Gehenna and it was found on an airplane or in his baggage or whatever and he was arrested? Faces up to 20 years and it stated he was a JW. Just wondering.

the greatest lesson that the watchtower has taught me is to give the love that has been taken from me.

our mother shuns my brother and me to the extreme.

just this morning she told me on the phone from her hospital bed that we will have to learn her diagnosis through the grapevine.. she wasn't always like this.

my jw father is arguing with me about holidays and birthdays so i asked him what baby showers were and how they differed from birthdays?

if mother's day and father's day are wrong, how is a baby's day (shower) not idolatry too?.

During the Victorian era, baby shower was a women-centric celebration. Ladies of the family hosted tea parties for the would-be mum and the expected baby. It was at this phase that umbrellas became a part of the style statement, as it was expected for the new mom to carry parasols. an ex-jw meetup group i attended just watchted worlds apart together and the host wants to do this type of thing more often.. i would love to see religulous, but the group would be divided on such a movie.. i suggested the documentary, jesus camp and september dawn.. do you have any suggestions i can pass along?.
