  once a month or so and this week went to a different hall.

  Everyone remain calm! I have not now nor have i for many years now given one single damn as to whether or not the watchtower bible and track society “collapses” or not.

  I do however, care about a realistic assessment of facts. Understanding reality is necessary to deal with reality.

  The org still grows. Notice the facts i presented earlier:

  2016- 8,340,847 1.8% increase

  2017- 8,457,107 1.4% increase

  
  

  Incontrovertable evidance of growth. Growth is the opposite of collapse. As i have also said, ad nauseum, the org will indeed one day collapse. All things die. Every country, every government, every institution, every planet, star and the universe itself will one day collapse.

  
  

  But lets be realistic about when. It aint today, as slim just claimed. It wont be tomorrow. It will be one day. Look at what truly is not what you wish it to be. This is the path to inner peace.

  Actually I think just now is exactly the time to expect a mass exodus. We are at a major turning point.

  And I’m curious how Morph will react in the months and years to come as the organisation continues to disintegrate.

  you didnnt miss this thread, you have simply forgotten about it amongst the volumes you have written to convince yourself of your delude view regarding the wt future. Please see page two of this topic for the begining of your dissertation.

  since your here, oh slime one, should i add that last post to your many timelines? Your say NOW the collapse is happening? And when the 2018 stats hit and there is some small growth, what then? Will you finally give up the gloom and doom game?

  I think not. You enjoy this Baghdad bob game of finding any stat or reason to believe your clearly wrong view. Its ok slim. It helps me pass slow days at work too....

  it’s quite affirming to see the horrific material that they’re serving up at the convention this year.

  aside from blatant homophobia, the scenes at the end of the convention that are discussed on another thread stoop to new levels of fear mongering.

  it seems to occur to nobody inside the organisation that this kind of material could trigger fear, deprsssion, anxiety, stress.

  Sorry slim one but you are misrepresenting my words and even lying (!!!) about what i said.

  i drew no correlation between moral and reporting religious affiliation on a census. Thats your words, not mine.

  People dont self identify because they dont want the geovernment having any more information than is absolutely required. Witness tend to be paranoid, especially since their organization says governments will turn on them annnnnyyy day now.... so no i dont trust them to self identify.

  And i refuse to go down the congregation counting road again. Your purposefully obtuse on that because you think it fits your narrative. 5 pennies is the same as one nickel. Trading 5 pennies for one nickle dosent represent a net decrease in your finances.

  Regarding homophobia, i am of the opinion that it is overused and misapplied. Few people meet the clinical definition of “phobic” regarding homosexuality. Im not trying to derail the topic, the video is twisted and culty as culty can be.

  I cannot nor will i speak to results of a census as it relates to populations a minor religious group. Theres a dozen reason the census may not capture a population of specific religious group, including people in that group not wanting to self identify to the government (see the video noted in the op as a reason why). Facts are facts. They have grown. Every year for the last 30+ (since the 1975 debacle). Not a lot recently but growth IS growth no matter how hard you try to spin it.

  A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder, defined by a persistent and excessive fear of an object or situation. The phobia typically results in a rapid onset of fear and is present for more than six months.

  wintesses are not phobic regarding homosexuals. They in no way meet the definition of a phobia. They do, however, hold to their bronze religious belief that homosexual behavior earns gods disfavor and eventual death. That may be backwards, judgmental, and distasteful but its not “phobic”.

  Also, the religion is not collapsing. Who could guess i would take that position????? The facts are:

  thats not collapse. Thats slow growth. Yes slim, compared to the hayday its nothing, i agree. Its a decline compared to old days... but facts are facts, no matter how hard you try to avoid them. They are still slowly growing, despite the around 40 or 50k a year who leave, die or are df’d.

  so with my obligatory rant aside, that video is twisted and sick. I tend to agree with the view that they want to prune off some of the dead weight. I dont think they view it that way per say, but they cleary want the faithful deep in the fold mentally and if that drives away fence sitters so be it.

  it seems like mobilizing after the election, which seems pointless.

  i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?

  ... and the election happened already.. is anyone else confused?
