  well, i offered in one of his threads to have him on the show and posters seemed excited at the possibility and we got it done so now you can hear from the man himself on the newest episode of "shunned".

  one of our very own stepped up to tell his story, well, aside from myself of course.

  it was great getting to actually speak with him.. this is my first international interview for the podcast.

  What Can A Member Of The Governing Body Get Disfellowshipped For?

  i don't think any member of the elite gb can be disfellowshipped while in the office, i think they need to be removed first from being part of the elite ruling class ceos and then latter be df'd if the need be.

  i'm of this opinion from what happened to raymond franz, chitty, and greeenlees.. ray, was not df'd for apostacy while on the gb, he was first removed from office given a $10,000 severance package and booted out of bethel, latter he was seen eating with a member that left the clutches of the organization to which the wt corporation put into effect that eating a meal with a df'd or disassociated member is in itself a df'n offence.. i think the watchtower will be very reluctant to df any former gb member because they can do so much damage if they go public like ray franz did..

  so what if some members of the governing body have been accused of molesting a child and used the 2 witness rule to silence a accusation?

  so could it be that because some high up watchtower corporation person/persons has clung to the rule because it save's his corporate ass.

  hold on sandra, grampa (atlantis), says that (cofty) is pretty much an expert on evolution and can answer your question more accurately than we can.

  All good responses, just to clarify my initial answer, i commented only on the specific example addressed, humans growing to perfection as it relates to evolution. It is not evolution in any sense, its a mere repairing of the human body.

  The other examples provided are all good and show some of the inconsistencies of those who believe in pure creationism.

  what phizzy says is correct regarding the wt position. they take the stance that adaptation happens within species and that there is room for some variation within “kinds”. Consider dogs and all the changes and variation through selective breeding. They would point out they are still dogs in the end. Its their way of acknowledging the obvious (selective breeding effects offspring over time) without giving into full on evolution and potentially offending their desert god.

  okay, they cheapened the product by getting rid of hardcover books.

  they reduced printing of mags.

  they drastically reduced the number of pieces of printed paper that members would "place" in people's hands in various ways, the biggest one being that they put them on a cart and don't encourage people to take them.they cut d.o.

  ok that aside, ive long said some for of tithing will come round. They wont call it that, but thats what it will be.. the congregation perpetual mortgage scam is a form of tithe as it is.

  I apologize to cofty in advance for fielding this, but this a pretty simple one...

  the short answer is no. The wt org’s teaching is, in effect, that we all are now ‘damaged goods’, so to speak. We are like a car with a mechanical problem. In humans we call that problem “sin”. In the new world humans dont evolve into anything more complex nor do they change into anything else, the machine (human bidy) is simply repaired and restored to proper function, in the same way a repaired car hasnt evolved into something else, its simply been restored to proper function.

  As always, i dont buy it, im just clarifying the teaching so it can be properly debunked.
