ok so this is a topic i've pondered and go back and forth on.. i can easily see a point where lawsuits cause massive deficits in the organization.

honestly i feel like we are seeing the tip of the iceberg in regards to lawsuits on child abuse.

to me it looks like the property sell offs are to be able to get ready for this.

According to thier own statistics they loose over a million members every decade.

Lol what?? What stat is that? Where is that published? Last i heard 40k a year are df’d. Thats only 400k a decade, no where near a million. Citation needed.

This was sustainable years ago but not anymore. There just not enough new ones coming in. Add to the mix that 50% of JW families in the US make a combined income of less then 30,000 per year.

They may not be hurting for money anymore but that’s do to cut backs and downsizing not donations. What’s really sad is the young ones that seem to stay are so reliant on their parents. Thier just so ingnorant they can’t make it on their own so they stay with mommy and daddy.

as it happened that peice of hooey may be true but only because its true accross the USA as a whole. Kids are living longer woth mommy and daddy but it has nothing to do with the cult.

In the future whole families , 3 and 4 generations of family will still be living together, which is uncommon in the US

Its inpossible that jw’s had a grand total of 20 million at the memorial. They collapsed.

Also attending one meeting a year dosent make you a jw and they get visitors. Its a not a reliable indicator of membership

ok. we are all aware of the scandal around the non reporting of child abuse cases to the authorities by the elders and how it was part of watchtower policy.. this has probably been discussed before, which i apologize for now if it has.. the obvious view that most of us make as to why the gb are so reluctant to comply with the authorities by revealing their database around child abuse allegations, is that the leadership at watchtower hq likely were trying to safeguard the reputation of the organisation.. however, (just a theory) are they hiding something more sinister which could in effect devastate the organisation ie could it be they are hiding some things within the gb itself, whether it be some individuals within the gb of the past or even present who might have had some serious allegations made against them which the authorities are never going to know about?

i mean why the hell are they going to such lengths to hide everything???.

any thoughts?
