firstly the claimant has brought two separate claims against the watchtower .
case 1 relates to a suit in slander premised on the words , "frank otuo is no longer a jehovah witness".

i hope this man continues the fine fight and i LOVE his theory regarding the "implied" nature of the annoucment. I wish such case could be made in the USA
edited to add: i have no problem with the wt retaining the right to decide who can and cannot be in their club but the required shunning that come with explusion is unfathomable from a legal POV. I have said before and will say again: i dare the WT to drop the unchristain practice of shunning and see how few actually stay 'witnesses'.

Golden Rule: Pure Garbage?

she said it was arrogant and made assumptions.. i didn't want to derail that thread so i started another wondering if this is a common thought about this belief on this forum.
i guess i naively thought the value of doing to others as you want them to do to you was generally accepted as positive.. i understand people have different opinions of jesus as a person but i don't want to get into that here.

While its a good attempt at a guiding principle the flaw has already been noted: its still self centered. It promotes what the individual wants as good for everyone else. One would think gods son could do a bit better at encouraging people to see things through others eyes..... Or maybe we are all supposed to think and act in agreement
