I appreciate everyones comments and im glad its not just me seeing this.... someone asked about baptism numbers- didnt count because i wasnt there, im afraid i cant give that report. From what i heard it was small and sounded like all kids of witnesses, but to reiterate, i didnt see it or count for myself.

The session starts now with music videos. Music. Videos. Playing christain pop! I swear this was neil diamond esq christain pop!
There were attendants with bullhorns in the lobbys telling people to sitdown! Honest to god bullhorns.
The drama was now in video form... ok fair enough. But it was a soap opera! A strait up daytime soap opera, complete with a trailer that said "previously on remember the wife of lot" and credits! The drama itself was so stupid and insulting i cant even begin to explain. Daytime tv would have proudlyembraced this level of craptastic emotionally manipulative garbage.
The songs before and after were more christain pip, complete with built in clap lines! Nobody actually clapped, but the track sounded as if it was included! Nobody had a song book. The words scrolled on the screen for people to folkow along too... it was f***ing 1984!
Im just two short years that religion has done a 180 and embraced everything it was against. I was shocked and appalled on some levels to see the low brow classless crap they have embraced. How can anyone who was in the org more than 5 min accept this....?

That is precisely how it worked in every hall i 'served' at. No matter how hard you argued with the jack wagon CO he always vetoed and got weak willed "elders" to cave.

Been there done that. Had the same struggle. It just takes time. Few people can transistion from full on believer to not believing over night. I can tell you however, stopping meeting attendance was the single best thing i ever did. It made my life so much more enjoyable and full. All the best to you

Hearing voices, not always caused by demons.
by lancelink inmy wife and i for the past three months have been caring for a teenage girl who was abused by her parents.
she stole a car to get away, and living in prison was a welcome relief for her.
she was in prison for four years, and the state was going to release her, but she would not go back home.. a co-worker teacher that my wife knows told us the situation, and we agreed o help the girl get back on her feet.. well, she dealt with abuse from all aspects 😔, and is pretty messed up in the head from all of that.. but by being in our home, she was safe and was learning how to deal with her problems.

As a side note auditory hallucinations are far more common than most people realize. Hearing voices is on the extreme end but a great many people hear things that are not real. Often its a framiler noise or a noise that your brain expects to hear at particular place or point in time and your brain, in expectation, fills the noise in even if it dosent actually occur.
People with cochlear implants report on the phenomenon. If they hear a song they knew before they experianced hearing loss they hear song in full detail. If its a "new" piece of music. One they wernt framiler with prior to hearing loss, then they hear it only through the limited ablity of the inplant to transmit the sound. Hearing the music in its full detail is a form of auditory hallucination, albeit a desirable one.
in any event, a long rambling post to simply say that these events are not at all rare or demon insipred. And again, well done by you and the wife for offering help!
