  even as a jw i was fascinated with hypnosis and seeing people like derren brown putting people under almost instantly.

  in the last 2/3 years when i was a jw but beginning to wake up from the bullshit i read up on hypnosis, watched a few youtube demos and explanations etc.

  but never actually studied it seriously until about a year ago.

  Unacknowledged!

  so...i watched the new netflix movie, "uncknowledged" by dr steven greer today fierce hearing to dj's discussing it on the radio, minds blown.

  it makes a strong case for ufo's and totally screws up jw doctrine about the earth having the only intelligent life in the universe, as it is where the issue of universal sovereignty is played out and decided....the gb will need to do some fast talking.

  it will be fascinating to blow some jw minds with this.

  I enjoy hearing what others thought of the movie as well, i just wanted to offer something else in light of vivalavida’s post...

  on the matter of why those respectable people would make the claims they have, i do have a thought. They make those claims because they believe them. It dosent make the claim accurate but i believe they believe. Thats why i said in my original post that any first hand experiances they relate interest me as i accept that they are telling the truth from their perspective. I do not care at all what they personally believe. They may also be christains who believe in a flat earth and a global flood and i wont accept their personal belief as any sort of evidance but if they tell me they lived through a global flood personally im more interested. (Yea bad example)

  as for tesla bear i mind i didnt say he wasnt a genuis inventor... but tesla had a HUGE propensity to make wild and vastly exaggerated claims about his inventions and his genius. Thus i called him a fabled genuis but also a legendary liar

  a fair bit of time was spent discussing the (one) scripture in the bible that "proves" that when the bible touches on scientific subjects, it is absolutely correct.

  this was at the most recent clam meeting this past week.

  from isaiah, the reference to the "circle" of the earth.

  as a jw i pretty much just went along with what was taught from the platform i didn't do any real bible study.

  as a result, now that i am out of the org.

  i find scriptures that blow my mind.. i am not sure how i would have reacted if someone had pointed this out to me when i was a jw but now i can't believe i've never noticed this before.

  The dubs explain it as meaning “mighty god” in a figurative sense. Master worker blah blah powerful, more than other angles but not ALMIGHTY god, didnt use elohim etc etc

  If someone testified in court using the bibles explanations they would be laughed at, fined for contempt and thrown in jail. Its ludicrous but when add 5,000 years of time and claim its from god all of a sudden its acceptable and believable.... humans are funny

  Sigh.... the real issues remains china. Kju is a puppet. If he ever “faces the hangman” theres always another puppet to replace him. Its irrelevant. China WANTS nk to be a strong buffer state. They WANT nk to be their puppets and to use them as a disposable proxy. CHINA gave them the nuclear tech. CHINA gave them the missile tech. Nk is giving it iran. All the nk and kju talk is pointless and irrelevant.
