  just been catching up on the case of jamal khashoggi.. khashoggi was a saudi journalist who 'went missing' on 2 october after visiting the saudi consulate in istanbul.. he visited the consulate in order to get paperwork that confirmed he was divorced from his ex-wife and free to marry his turkish fiancée.. the details that are emerging are harrowing and show just how barbaric the saudi regime is.. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6288131/jamal-khashoggis-apparent-murder-follows-disappearance-three-exiled-royal-princes.html.

  He was in fact a MB guy. Read any of the shit he wrote. It was 100% of the time focused of the mb and against anything the mb didnt like.

  as for the saudi’s, again, as noted before and previously stated, they arnt perfect, but they are anti iran and allies with isreal and that makes their interests good for the rest of the world.

  If the usa issues one sanction or statement of condemnation they are fools. This shouldnt even be addressed.

  Lets be clear about something, from an american perspective: he was not an american citizen. He was a bin laden ally. He was supporter of the muslim brootherhood, a terrorist organization. His opinion pieces in the washington post were all pro brotherhood.

  The saudi royal family is going through some major changes. This guy didnt support it because its seen as a move away from Wahhabism. The saudis arnt western style democracy's or even close, but they are slowly drifiting. This guy didnt like it and the saudis did what the saudis are known for doing. Its ugly and wrong, but its not americas job to change it.

  the arms sales and any other dealings go in a much bigger context of middle east policy. If america dosent stay involved the evil russians or chinese will be glad too.

  so a friend today asked me what his deal is and i honestly don't know.

  i saw someone post about his accusations that the doj is investigating watchtower and people seemed down on the guy, as well has johnny the bethelite or whatever his name is that claims to leak stuff.

  i don't know rick fearon, don't watch his show, but his site just seems a little crazy, and he seems to get into occult conspiracies and the jws, which never lends credibility.. so for those of you who have been around a while, what's the deal?

  Gio and gnd sumerized my basic point: while i appreciate your good motive, I tend to think your worrying a bit much. As the little one grows you can have age appropriate discussion about making good decisions. That covers cults and a lot of other ground, and if you see some specific move by a witness relative you know how to head it off :) enjoy being a grandparent and be satisfied knowing that the heartache you delt with wont be foisted on your grandson :)

  So i have a question about this, and contrary to what some may tell you im not trying to be rude, however the question is relevant:

  why?

  Why is the only question that matters, and on several fronts...

  For one thing, having an end result in mind makes it easier to establish a plan to get here. So whats your goal...? Is it to warn him away from the jw’s? Is it teach him christianity? His mother is atheist and his father sounds like he is non practicing of any specific faith as are you and your husband, so why teach him any christianity?

  If its to warn him away from the jw’s why do you need to teach him christianity to do that? There are other just as effective ways and those methods could apply to a lot of high control groups or cults, not just jw’s.

  Also, why is this your job? He has a mother and a father. That sounds like their job. His mother (as noted earlier) is an atheist, does she want this basic christian education? Does his father? Have they talked about it between themselves as his parents?

  Theres a few more questions but in the end, not to put too fine a point on it, why does this fall to you?

  one of their mothers burst into the jehovah's witness church in swansea and publicly accused him of being a paedophile only to receive a letter from solicitors warning her not to harass.

  judge geraint walters...described collins as a "devious, arrogant and self-righteous man" who had lived behind veil of respectability partly through his contact with the jehovah's witness church.
