Being too picky>>>
by Frantic inarrrrgh, ive been labelled by many as too picky.
this ever happen to you guys?> it is known that most of us humans will never meet the 'right' person for us, or perfect, if u will.
for example, i might meet this good looking chick, and she wants to have sex immediately, and im not into that - first, takes away the mystery and second, whose to say she wouldnt do it the following night with some other stranger?

havent you heard shamus? 9 out of 10 good lookin chicks are sluts! lol, I hate making up my own stats, still, its accurate where I come from. Instead of paying fuel money for a ride home, to fully compensate the male, she'll screw him - a perfect arrangement.
.
I should be able to get you a chick shamus, as long as u beat ur display ID, ud be cruzin. U dont even need to buy these girls drinks to get laid, its open season happy hour. -

I dislike ppl who have sex with 5 different ppl in one week. This is why I hate the dating scence, one huge HOAR - a sea of lonliness above all else. Its worse for women.

With that said, because I knock back these hot girls, it appears, Im gay (laughs) from mates. I may carry some traditional roots, being I want only one marriage and one life partner. Hey, its just my morals and what I believe in, still, I owe it to myself not to conform to what society does, rather, to do what I feel is right, and not to break hearts by leaving straight after Ive done the 'deed'. Just a thought. -

a long one at 3 hours! I was extremely tired at the end, however, probably due to lack of sleep the night before. Found it interesting, we opened with a prayer, thanking Jehovah for drawing me here today. Basically, we opened with the Knowledge book and read the first chapter, relating back to bible scriptures. In a nutshell, I learned we need boundaries in order to live because we were not meant to 'drive' our own lives, the consequences could be dire - true to some extent. Used various analogies and illustrations to help pinpoint why there is a God, and that God has a name - Jehovah. In one case (probably heard of this before) he used the illustration of shaking various blocks of lego together in a bag until all the pieces came 'undone'. He then went on to say, In order to rebuild the blocks, someone must of created these blocks with carefully drawn plans of how they fit together. Surely, then, our heavenly creator, the creator of all things must of created the universe, as he has the power to perform miracles.....etc etc
I learned after armageddon, 1000 years post, Jehovah will test his perfect ppl once more, reintroducing the devil, and unfortunately some will turn. I leaned a lot of things really, he digressed in long passages. All in all, a good session, and ended in prayer. In 2 weeks I commence reading Raymond Franz "Crisis of Conscience".....should be interesting, very interesting. Who knows I might even show my Bible teacher the book....then again, he does have a fireplace.

News report on Sydney, Australia JW convention: all is well in JW-land?
by Gopher inso glad this convention will "dispel myths" regarding the j-dubs, and that they won't baptize anyone too young, only 11-year-olds and up!!
isn't it great?

Hi Blondie, In fact, when he was going to propose to her, seated right next to them was 2 JWs chaperoning the soon to be married couple (seperate tables thank GOD). So no romantic dinners by themselves, Funny thing was....this was a 'couples restuarant'....and the two men chaperoning were perceived or past up as a 'gay couple'. I couldnt stop laughing. Apparently, everyone was looking at the 2 'gay' JWS. It got so bad....the next time the waiter came to the table, one of the guys had to say "yes, we are not gay, we are just chaperoning for table 59" hahahaha!!!! Frantically Insane Andy

Standing up for National Anthem / Judges
by RubaDub indo others here feel that the prohibition about standing for the national anthem lacks any basis in logic whatsoever??
having been raised in the borg, this is one issue that i never understood.. the argument has always been that standing up indicated "worship" of the country, the same as saluting the flag (i'm not discussing the flag salute issue here, just the "standing" issue).. however, if you stand up when required for a person, i.e.
a judge in court, it is ok to stand because it is simply showing respect.

I mingled with a fair few of JW's while at school. Keep in mind, this jw didnt go to the meetings at all. So one day, he decided to move from the back of the room (where are the jw's were seated) to the middle where everyone else in the school was sitting. All the JW's noticed this, responding "hey where did Matt go" -. . This school assembly, routinely performed, started with a good morning and to stand for the national anthem. Matt stood. Afterwards, I asked him, "hey man, arent u meant to be up the back??" "it doesnt bother me". . Fact is, he wanted to "fit in" A week later....he had no transport to get home. He asked a fellow jw high school student to take him home, in turn, asking his parents to take Matt home. The parents were adament/stubborn/inflexible, thus shunning him! Matt left the school grounds at 7:00pm, when he could of left at 3:00pm. How rude!?! Frantically Insane Andy.

My friends will be at that exact convention. I get to feed their cat while they are gone. 11 yr olds? How about 18.....u know, where u leave school, forced to fend for urself. The 'faith' itself should be enough for young jw's to stay in the camp. What is it with their boundaries? I know an engaged couple who have NOT spent one moment alone (aged around 21/19). That is SAD. I personally think its bullcrap (excuse the profanity). No one can be trusted. some leeway, some faith should be permitted in certain circumstances. btw, what was the previous age rules regarding child baptism? Frantically Insane Andy.

Too bad u deleted it. Most of what u said is true. I would like if u could repost it. Future thread posters have no idea that way (in response to the topic).
My mum said, if she were to "come back", she would DEFINATELY be a man, no questions asked.
U could add this to the list - older men have it easier than older women (as far as dating is concerned). 25 yr old males can still get 25 yr old women, furthermore, 55 yr old males can get 25 yr old women, to go even further, 75 yr old males can get 30 yr old women. I seldom see 55 yr old females baggin 25 yr old men, nevermind 75 yr old women. older men are further assisted with viagra
