i have been in correspondence recently with silentambs and a few interesting things have been highlighted.

some of you may know, that bill bowen has twice tried to get the fbi involved in investigating child molestation issues in the jws org.

this is what he said to me, i quote: we have reported to the fbi on two occasions and were rebuffed due to them not wishing to get involved with a religion.

Nitty gritty - and so start the excuses and apologetics. How sickening your view truly is. Your cognitive bias is palpable. The problem with the jws is the structure itself. You state that you are a woman and a mother. How shameful the way you excuse them. It's sad really. Have you even listened to the commission or are you like the elders that have been testifying and don't even read or listen to the evidence from the day before.

I guess you follow the example of your leaders. The elders are putting on quite a display for the world to see. It was only a matter of time for the apologist rock dwellers to peek out their head.

i'm picturing a situation in which a savvy 12 year old doesn't like the house rules that mom's new husband has put into place.

i can certainly agree that protection of children is paramount, but who protects the real victim in those cases?

They have no business sitting in judgement of anyone. Judicial Committees should be abolished in there entirety and anyone that comes with any claim of abuse should be reported to the appropriate authorities. Anything short of that is criminal and should be dealt with appropriately.

Why hasn’t someone gotten real pissed off yet?

i keep reading of some guy who is so upset at someone that he goes into a theater and shoots 20 people..

or a kid that is so mad that the other kids made fun of him that he goes to school and shoots a bunch of kids..

or some guy that was fired from his job and he goes back and shoots of bunch of his workers.

If someone you care about deeply died because of this cult all bets could be off the table. When my son was diagnosed with leukemia I thought nightly about how I would end my own life after my kids were grown. This thought was there without knowing ttatt. As I stated before if I had lost my dear son for not giving him a blood transfusion. I would likely have gone through with ending my own. When one is there who knows what else could happen to the leadership. They are blood guilty.

If my son had died from not getting a blood transfusion I don't know what I would have done. Now that I know what I know. I expressed this to a bethel elder in the service department with a pseudonym posing as a current elder.

It is rather easy to get close to many of those a$$ wipes on the GB.

40 Years Old Today

i celebrated my birthday for the first time today at 40 years old.

my wife was great.

she and some of my coworkers surprised me at lunch.

I celebrated my birthday for the first time today at 40 years old. My wife was great. She and some of my coworkers surprised me at lunch. Decorations, my kids and all. It was awesome.

I spent the first half of my life all into this cult. Leaving has been quite a learning experience. Painful and lonely at times. I'm trying to figure out how to approach my real life with the same gusto I did in the cult.

Thank you to everyone here and all the activists that have been so helpful over the last few months. I'm hoping the second half of my life is as meaningful as I mistakenly thought the first half of my life was.
