  my support is with the marchers in washington and around the country today.

  i was raised through my formative years by my mother and sister while my father was out of the picture.

  they gave me the compassion i have today.

They gave me the compassion I have today. I'm married to a wonderful woman, have a lovely daughter, and have a niece I love to pieces who happens to also be lesbian.

  Attention needs to be kept for however long it's necessary on the misogynistic nature of this man. What we are seeing is stirred Mama bears. You don't mess with them, and he has. I believe that what we're seeing is just the beginning. It's often been said that America is like a sleeping tiger, and that you tread at your own risk by shaking a stick at it. I believe the appropriate description at this time is that America is an angry Mama bear.

  i remember browsing this forum the day after i had joined it, and their was a knock on the door.

  i thought it was one of my package from ups but instead it was two sisters.

  A Believer you're fooling yourself. I was a 3rd generation JW. I worked at bethel straight out of high school. I was a MS through my 20's and an Elder in my 30's. I was the watchtower conductor in my congregation when my then 5 year old son was diagnosed with Leukemia. He would have died had we lived in another country that does not step in as the U.S. does when it comes to life and death medical situations.

  2 years into his treatment my wife and I started researching the validity of this organization, subsequently left and lost our entire social network. To the extent that our family and friends that are still active JW's did not even respond to my invitation to his end of chemo party. Now keep in mind I'm neither DF'd nor did I Disassociate. I walked away or faded as the saying goes.

  My mom still goes to meetings on occasion for fear of losing her 4 children, and over a dozen grand children that are still in. Had my grand parents known what this group would have done to their progeny they would have run in the other direction when the witnesses came knocking.

  Everyone seems to forget about the mid term election. It is highly and historically likely that the democrats will regain power in the House and Senate now that the republicans have all three. It is very possible that you will see that be a campaign issue in 2018. I don't give this narcissist long before people start seeing who he really is.

  For goodness sake he is claiming that he has Intel no one else does regarding Russian involvement with election hacking. This is Intel that disagrees with the CIA, and the FBI. My guess is he's getting it from the Russians. Most of the claims coming from him and his supporters against Clinton during the campaign was straight from the Russian media.

  Do you believe that Jehovah is using the Organization today?

  any elder has never asked me that question so far but i want to be prepared to answer that question if any of them ask me that question in the future.

  i hope that they will never ask me that question.

  any suggestions on how to answer that question would be very much appreciated.

  it probably will never happen but... imagine the gb recieved some new light that told them the great tribulation was imminent.

  the world is going to hell and all jws can expect until armageddon is terrible persecution the likes of which no christian has ever experienced in two thousand years.

  but jehovah has a solution: put yourself and your family 'to sleep' and after armageddon's over, jehovah will 'wake his people up' at the resurrection.

  Nonjwspouse our family friends JW's that still associate with us are moving to go to Vanderbilt from CHOC. He has an aggressive T-Cell leukemia with added complications. Brain bleed, cranectomy and partial paralysis. I will try them as well next week.

  Our challenge in this journey has been they have treatments, but are limited with the cause.

  I'm putting the below information on this forum first to get YOUR input.

  So my 9 year old Leukemia survivor wants to do his science project searching for the cause of leukemia in children. The data required to put together a semblance of a cause is vast to put it lightly.

  I was thinking of putting feelers into the ether (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) to see if we could get enough people to volunteer their family and children's history to have a shot at seeing some sort of pattern. After the science project I was thinking of continuing this research by developing an app or online questionnaire where survivor families volunteer their information. Reaching out to other families like mine by using targeted social media algorithms. The cause is the great unknown of this disease as medical privacy laws such as HIPPA due to litigation understandably prevent the free exchange of information.

  I'm seeking forum members feedback. Do any of you see holes, roadblocks, or potential risks in such an endeavor?
