Minimus yes I believe this topic in general plays right into the authoritarian little handed one.

Free I never called you a Trump supporter. If I don't agree with you on something it doesn't mean I'm on the opposite side of you.
I disagree wholly with minimus and believe the topic in and of itself is extremely damaging to our country as it plays into the narrative that Trump wants in order to consolidate power.

Free look at the cycle. Breitbart reports the 3 miillion illegal votes. Trump repeats it. People believe it and it becomes a story. No conspiracy there just a sequence of events that started from Bannons media source. Same thing with the media thing. Highlighted from breitbart during a press conference, and in print. Trump repeats it, wash and repeat cycle over and over until it becomes a real story in many people's eyes.
Last I checked Bannon was a senior adviser to him. Stop buying into the nonsense narrative coming from this administration. They're playing too many of us.

Minimus interesting how you bring this up the day after his diatribe. What Trump is doing is trying to undermine the media so his utter failures are viewed as at least better then the media. A typical bully tactic.
I for one reject the cynical conspiracy nonsense eminating from the thugs currently in power. Let's remember where this whole thing is coming from. Bannon.
Last Week Tonight's John Oliver summed up well what is currently happening with this fake news turning into real news for many people. This attack on the media is a key example of it.

Free I just stated that i think all media should be taken with a grain of salt and that I don't need them to see how crazy he is. Do I think they should improve? Yes I do. Do I think their bullies? No I don't.
Complaints highlighting errors in reporting is not the executive offices job.

The media is a profit driven enterprise as it should be. State controlled is totalitarian. All news in my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt. My problem with Trump is not what the news says about him. It's what comes out of his own mouth and his tweets.
He is unhinged. I have not nor will I ever support him. I believe that normalizing his behaviour as we have done is damaging to our democracy. Praising the behavior is unconscionable to me.
Let's remember folks who has the guns and nukes. Hint hint it's not the press. A bully beating up other bullies. What utter nonsense. Last I checked the press couldn't throw you in jail or kill you. Damn can we get some perspective here.

Just the word redistribution is what concerns me. It's a bad word on the right. -

Bohm I agree that the point you made about AI taking our jobs and not killing us in the near future is the most likely in the near future. My fear with that are the social ramifications. In other words unless we start really talking about this in real world scenarios now we may end up killing ourselves off when we don't have productive work for the masses.
I worry we may not be able to evolve quickly enough to keep up with the sea changes this technology brings. Current events make me worry even more.
