the 144,000, the trinity and prayer.. if anyone has 5 minutes could they explain:.

1. what do other religions think the 144,000 are or is?

I believe the biblical Jesus is written into this ancient teaching but was himself an individual, if that helps lol.

"1 is The Absolute or unity" (unpolarized energy) becomes conscious of itself simultaneously creates 2

"2 is polarized energy and represents the Fall...Male and female energy Yin/yang and simultaneously creates 3

"3 is needed to establish a relationship between 2, reconcilng opposites".

Example - male/female is not a relationship. There must be an emotion/contract to create the relationship I.e. Love

marriage is a trinity made up of M/F/L and actually creates 4 but you need to study all that if you are interested in the sacredness of numbers as the ancient mystery schools taught.

Thus 3 in 1...the interaction is what is labeled a mystery and more easily understood with the heart in a sense of knowing rather than intellectually.

God is the Absolute - 3 making up the 1

The Father is the Absolute conscious of itself (1) - creative force

Jesus (son) - The Word (2) - the creative command

HS - the intention, emotion, active force (3)

all simultaneously existing in the one. The son therefore is the only begotten.

Thus, trinities exist representing male,female,sons' etc.all over the world.

In Egypt, Tum (transcendent cause - Male) created Atum (atom) out of Nun (none) (primeval waters- feminine)

Pythagoreans understood numbers as a creative language that also translates to music/vibration. The trinity is best understood by studying the esoteric meaning of 1,2,3 and how the churches tried to interpret that understanding for thousands of years is seen in the various trinity doctrines both pagan and Christian. The alchemists who built ancient cathedrals encoded it all in the artistic designs. It's fascinating! (Fulcanelli) The number 144 (1000) is also interestingly part of the sacred number system. The numbers and certain biblical passages in the Bible were written for those with special initiate knowledge and can be traced to ancient astrology and make total sense in that context . For example "the kingdom of the heavens is like the mustard seed ", Bahir (ancient Jewish book) . The Bible and book of Revelation is filled with astrological references, I.e. Draco, the original serpent... great books to read are "serpent in the sky" by john Anthony west and "the mysteries of the great cross of mendaye" by jay weidner .

once I read these books, the scriptures meant even more to me. Lots more fun to read. Knowledge of Hebrew language alphabet helps too. Trying to understand the Bible from a literal perspective today; is akin to playing the game telephone with a thousand players. Even Thomas Jefferson stuck to the "words in red", the Jefferson Bible only has jesus' quotes in it.

For christian lessons, I enjoy Joseph Prince Ministry on Tv. I've learned more about Grace, Jesus Christ, ancient Israel and Hebrew words written in the Bible, in a few episodes, then years reading Watchtowers. I don't agree to everything he teaches, but he's easy to learn from, easy on the eyes, and fun. I always learn something good there!

jesus admonishes to keep seeking; I think we all are on very personal journeys and I love hearing everyone here on this forum to see where we all explore after coming out from such a similar religious background . These are just my current thoughts and not intended to preach or distract others. But after asking similar questions regarding the trinity and the 144k, I realize that there are many explanations, so many that I can't unequivocally believe just one, except this - God is Love.

Disfellowshipped for being complicit in someone else's sin - really?!

because she is complicit in a gross sin, according to him, by going with her best friend (not a j.w.

) when the friend had an abortion.

How can angels be sexually attracted to women?

the nephilim account in genesis is utterly ridiculous when you consider that angels are sex-less beings and would therefore lack sex-drive and romantic attraction.

think of how difficult it is for humans with a sex drive to be sexually attracted to animals.

now take away that sex drive and it becomes literally impossible.

Maybe it has to do with sex without emission? ?The fallen angels (sons of god) fell by seminal emission.? Intercourse wasn't the issue, it was the seed. And mixing their DNA with humans beneath them. Why does the Bible make such a big deal in the Old Testament about the sexual emission? Kinda weird, but I did some research into the word fornication and some trace it to ejaculation, especially in the tantric and alchemical mystery religions. Perhaps angels are horny alien dudes after all...like ancient aliens on history channel describes. Why are all the mythical pantheon of gods so sexual and promiscuous ? And what's with the virgin pregnancies....? Idk. but all the above theories are fun to read...thanks for the stimulating afternoon😇

Is there any evidence that the WTS stated the 20th century would be the last?

i know that other early dates are well documented leading up to 1975. it did seemed that the wts learned to stop setting dates, but i seem to recall talk about the 20th century will certainly be the last according to god's perfect timing.

i can't recall specifically where i heard such blatant rhetoric though.. anyone?

Bungi bill and stuck in a rut... that's one of the main items that woke me up. I looked up both references, as I had the original bound volume, and saw the change. it was blatant deception and obvious attempt to cover over error. In a courtroom it could be evidence of fraud, maybe? Anyway, I threw out all of my wt publications in anger after that and never went back. John 8:44 they always preached, in reference to other religions.

Family dynamics and cult influence

the following incident is nothing unusual to any jw, but i wanted to add on to the list of reasons to never join, and sympathize with those stuck in it, and again a reminder that you can never get away from the mayhem when you have family still in.

in a recent conversation with my jw sister who i love very much, i was reminded how complex and abnormal relationships can become within a jehovah's witness family.families relationships can be difficult with any religion or none, but once we throw in the various labels and restrictions within the jw family it becomes really cultish.

no one outside it could begin to understand.

hey guys, looking for some advice with what to do with my jw wife that is simply ignoring my wishes/demands.

first a little back story, we have been married for 6 years and have 3 children together.

she is a jw, and i am not (nor do i have any religious beliefs).

Lost generation has a good point about headship, but the other view is worldly hubbys don't hold much clout. They represent satanic opposition and while need to be respected aren't really given it. Worldly husbands aren't invited to committee meetings for children or wives, to my knowledge, for example. The religion wedges out the worldly mate, and makes it very difficult to compete in affections. Jehovah is first in your heart over your mate, and to witnesses that means the organization

hey guys, looking for some advice with what to do with my jw wife that is simply ignoring my wishes/demands.

As a woman, and wife, ugh never mind. Just your title implies 50% of your problem. Do you listen to her? Rhetorical... I do totally get it, where you are coming from. She is having an affair with her religion and you are having to share her and carry a large financial load. But, She will dig in harder as you make demands on her time, and she will justify to herself that she is doing it for Jehovah and you will lose. The best thing you can do is love her, do lots of outings with the kids, invite her, but go without her on her service days and meeting days. Be a better lover then her pioneering is to her. Let the kids have you! Make the family more a family to her then the congregation is, because it will encroach. if you keep focusing on your needs, she will keep focusing on herself. Equals don't "let" each other, they support each other. If you feel unsupported then tell her that. Ask her questions about why she believes what she does, do your research and ask insightful questions that would make her start thinking about why she chooses what she does. Let her have her own mind and beliefs, not making her wrong. It seems she is feeling good about herself pioneering. You need to learn and understand the cult psychology to help her break free and restore normalcy otherwise, it could get worse, and it will be encouraged by the witnesses to "maintain her integrity in spite of your persecution". Sick, I know, But, divided households, (affectionately called by dubs with one believing mate) are perfect to foster " the persecuted by satan's world" victim theme, and she could dig in harder and be applauded to do so. Gosh, they will put her on a pedestal...sister with unbelieving husband and 3 little kids is pioneering, why can't you? She's the perfect jw pioneer example. That's hard competition for just a worldly hubby. You can't cajole her to drop it. You need to outmaneuver the propaganda. I know that's a lot to hear, and I wish you and your family (that's at stake) best of luck. You resign yourself to what is, or you get knowledgeable and change yourself. Btw, you obviously love and care about your family, don't give up. We all escaped the mind control, and with loving help and compassion from you, so can your wife, and your kids!
