ive been here for sometime now.

long enough to know that some peoples hatred toward th wtbts and some of its members are based on wrong information.

for instance: ive read on hear many times that the wt promotes the idea that everyone whos not a witness are not friend material or will be destroyed at armageddon.

defd, you have major blinders on, for reasons only you can know. Various posters have shown proof from Watchtower publications that your basic premise is wrong -- the Watchtower Society strongly discourages JWs from associating with "worldly ones", period. Indeed, "bad association" is defined as "association with non-JWs". Any words you might find in late Watchtower or Awake! magazines to the effect that "wordly ones" are not necessarily bad association are nothing but doubletalk -- the Society is lying to you to cover its legal ass.

Bryan quoted from the article "Remaining Organized for Survival Into the Millennium" (w89 9/1 p. 19):

Only Jehovah’s Witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the "great crowd," as a united organization under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by Satan the Devil.

This doctrine has been taught since Rutherford's days, and it is still one of the major doctrines of JWs. It contradicts your claims.

Why have you avoided commenting on this quotation? What are you afraid of?

Who is the Faithful and Discrete Slave?

recently, i've had memories about that topic, which i had suppressed for a long time.

my original question came up when i encountered a few members of the "anointed" in my congregation (we're talking almost 30 years ago).. there was one sister who partook of the "emblems" who had come from cuba.

i learned from her that her health was frail because she had smuggled some expensive jewelry in a condom and stuck it up her colon.

: If that is the case, should one "feel" they are one of the anointed, how is that processed by the WTS? I've never known the process having never asked (not that my asking necessarily would have resulted in my knowing). Are they then given a special book telling them of their responsibilities?

For virtually everyone born after 1935, their professed "calling" is simply ignored, except for counting them as "partaking" at the Memorial. A very small number of such people, always males, have risen to the level of Circuit or District Overseer, and these guys get some attention. Not because of their "calling", of course, but because of their organizational positions and, most importantly, blind loyalty to the highest leaders. In other words, they become known to the higher-ups as men who'll do anything they're told, no matter how vile. Such are the five GB members appointed since 1991. No "anointed one" is given a manual; no such manual exists. Anything beyond regular JW activities is learned by getting involved with administrative activities, which automatically leaves females out.

: So Alan it's very convenient how all the annointed are fake to the GB that leaves them and their close acquaintances with a monopoly of power, how do we know that they are counterfeits they may well be much more spiritual people than the GB. The two that I knew were in my opinion much more Christian in their conduct than any GB clown.

I completely agree with your sentiments. But being an "anointed one" with power in the JW organization, as Ray Franz has shown so well, has nothing to do with spirituality. It has everything to do with blind loyalty to the existing leaders.

The basic point is that "anointed ones" with influence have influence via a pretty standard old boy network.
