  Tink, I don't give a hoot what Abaddon says... but I do care about your thoughts. I never entended for my comment to be taken seriously. It all stems from a joke that has been floating around the internet for a few years about how everyone was waiting for the Olson twins to turn 18.

  i'm aware of the joke. i, for one, was never much amused by it, but to each his own, i guess.

  i just think the sexualization of young women is sadly becoming an integral part of our culture. i hate that. i guess i'm particularly sensitive to it because, among MANY other deleterious effects, i sincerely believe it contributes to the growing number of young girls and women who develop eating disorders, which as you know is something close to home for me.

  i'm sure you had no ill intentions. i just think it was in poor taste, and i'm sure you see that now as well.

  WTBS attitude towards vegetarians ...

  having flirted with meat off and on through my life, but mostly conforming to the vegetarian standard (due to the obscenity for the most part that is the meat industry) - i noticed when serving with the society, that i came under fire from the brothers.. my moral arguments about cutting down on meat consumption based around the factory farming methods were cast aside and often sneered at.. "well god gave us the right to eat meat" was the usual line i had to swallow down.. have any of you guys faced the same situation?

  FWIW, i've been a vegan for about eight years and a vegetarian for ten, and i was never reprimanded or thought of as odd because of my diet as a JW.

  can't get over how good the new jet album get born is...there's a definate t-rex resurrection revival going on here....with a little ac/dc thrown in for good measure ..its awesome...some amazing acoustic guitar based guitar ballads too- a real ecclectic mix that hangs really well together..got to have the headphones on though as its got to be loud..now all i have to do is hope they get better before glastonbury.

  i thought it would be neat if we could see what each others canine, feline, avian, etc.companions look like.... .

  here's my love, her name is chelsea, she is 9-1/2 years, and i have had her since she was 8 weeks old.

  she is a golden lab mix, thus i affectionately call her "mutt butt" .

  yesterday was my pug puppy Max's birthday....he turned six weeks old!! i don't have pictures of him developed YET but he is seriously the cutest thing i have ever seen.

  i LOVE lifetime movies. they're so dramatic and overacted and cliched...they're freakin AWESOME. one day, i aim to have my life made into a lifetime movie. :P

  seriously though, i've seen the worst movie ever. it's called 'No Such Thing.' sometimes a movie is so bad that it's actually kind of humorous. but this one's SO BAD that it quit being funny. i wanted to gouge my own eyeballs out about halfway through. STUPIDEST, WORST MOVIE EVER.
