In a New York- I do understand that, I just wonder if anyone just happened to come across the site who was not as they say "spiritually weak" and learned the "truth" about the truth.

Native American Artifacts
by IP_SEC inmy great grand father was one half cherokee, he taught me about making flint tools and a lot about the land.. his son, my grand father taught me how to find flint tools lol.. the area i'm from is literally littered, with these tools laying right on the ground.
some may have been lost in the hunt, others discarded as a broken implement.

Homosexuality What the Bible Really Says...
by EvilForce into all my very patient friends out there thank for your support here.

Thanks Evil and everyone for your posts. I will look back at Evils posts and read some of the books. I had this conversation with my JW sister-in-law last week. She gave me the whole "it's not in nature speech", and I said your wrong.
I do attend a church but argue this point with everyone. I can't stand that people thing homosexuals will not be accepted by God. I always say do you think anyone would chose a life of people looking down at you or dealing with some peoples closed minds. Absolutely not! So then if it is an individuals DNA that determines which sex they like isn't that from God?
I am a married mom of two young boys, and I only want them to be whatever it is they were born to be. That is one area that really pisses me off with Christians.
I really love reading everyones posts here...

Campaign to stop pro-JW documentary
by Grace ini have been concerned since i read on a couple of posts about the pro-jw documentary which is in the works to be publicly aired on pbs.
this is the website: http://www.knocking.org.
i studied the website, and it looks extremely favorable to watchtower.

I looked at the website and I am not sure if it will be favorable or not. The way they have placed the question marks looks as if they are going to make statements aganist what the JW's profess. Am I missing something? Also should I write to both the PBS station as well as the website???

My mom died May 21, 2001. My mom had been battling Aplastic enemia (not producing platlets) for about 4 years. If she had taken platlets she could have most likely lived a longer fufilled life. I fought with her and my dad and tried to make her take blood but she was to weak to grasp the information on thier blood policy. She then developed mylopasia(red blood cells not producing).
I went down and spent the last week of her life caring for her at home. The JW's would come over and it just made me sick to look at them. The day before my mom died at home with me and my dad, the witlesses came over to make dinner for us at thier condo. The loser sister didn't even bring the meal prepared. She started preparing lasagna in my mom's kitchen as my mom lay in her bedroom dying. They all congregated in her kitchen and talked and laughed as I gave my mom morphine to ease her pain. She died the next morning.
My mom's funeral was another joke. The people who weren't JW's (very few) couldn't believe the talk. My mom came from Mississippi from a very poor family. She decided to go to NY because she wanted to be a singer. My mom became a professional singer in the 40's and 50's. She performed at the Copacabana and other places in the city. She Went around the globe during WWII with the USO, and modeled for Bergdorf Goodmans in NY. They mentioned none of it. My non JW brother-in-law was so angry when we left the Kingdom Hall. I wish I would have said something at the time to celebrate her but I was to use to thier control.
As I write this I am overcome with sadness. The whole experience was so surreal. I just shake my head at all our stupidity for not questioning more, but at least, I am blind no more.

2nd grade Miss Purcell's class. After returning from Christmas break being told to stand in the hallway while she passed out thank you notes to everyone in the class for the Christmas gifts she recieved from everyone but me!
Having my guidence counselor tell my parents how high my test scores were and my great potential for a top college and my parents explain to him pioneering is where my future is. Then of course trying to place magazines with him!
