we get together have wine and cheese and read the bible or discuss things that we might need help with.
it is a very cool group of people no over the top christians.

Caedes Thanks, I guess I didn't explain myself enough. My examples were to simplistic. I was really asking for an area a person would think "well maybe I should or maybe I should'nt".. Hope that makes more sense. Also I love the christian part

This week it is our turn to come up with a discussion topic.
We wanted to get into a discussion about if you are living a so called "christian" life what about all the grey areas. Example... Looking for loop holes for your taxes, or do you teach your kids to do something on the sports field when the ref isn't looking, or someone charges you the wrong price for something do you say something..
It probably sounds silly to everyone, but if you have any 2cents to put in I would appreciate it. If you have any scriptures that would apply that would also be great.

I faded years ago. I don't think I know Franklin, but we are from the same area and about the same age. I now live in Ct., but my brothers still live on LI. I just can't believe I haven't come across anyone that I was friends with...

I happen to have a pretty great life, but sometimes this deep sadness rises up in me for all the things that might have been. I try and explain it to friends but I realize they have no way of understanding. Until you've walked in someone else's shoes "how do you know". I keep hoping for someone here I remember or that got out. It's so strange living on Long Island, so close to the whole Brooklyn scene and yet for the most part no one has arisen. What really would be the point of that anyway. So many years, so many lives ago, what would it matter now.

My 14 year old son (who is pretty talented ususally) is playing the piano and singing a song he wrote and i have had a few glasses of wine , well he sounds like someone is beating the crap out of him. I am sitting here reading some posts and laughing to myself, hoping he would just shut up. Probably not funny to you JH but it's hysterical to me.
