  I corinthians chapter 11 verse 17 onwards???

  ok, i was reading this chapter today in my back garden and was astounded at what i had just read.

  every year as long as i have been a witness vs 28 is mentioned that a man should examine himself under scutiny before eating the bread and drinking the wine.

  obviously implying that only the anointed are to partake of the emblems etc.

  Jesus said the Little Flock and Other Sheep become "One Flock". This referred to Christianity being open to both the little flock of Jews and the other sheep that were to come from the Gentiles.

  What then is the meaning of Holy Spirit being given to the Gentiles? By your reasoning Jews = Anointed...correct? Christ's 1st century disciples were anointed with Holy Spirit and "knew" they were in line to be Kings with Him in Heaven.

  There is nothing to suggest that these terms have anything to do with the 144,000 and Great Crowd of Revelation.

  So despite almost 2000 years of good people with genuine Christian faith, the early Christian days of mass baptisms, steadfastness in the face of really awful persecution, etc, you think it's even *feasible* that there are still enough spots left in heaven for 8/9,000 people to be the only living annointed?

  I'm not convinced that the WTS anointed headcount is reliable, and I have no idea how many truely anointed people there are on earth today.

  The Amplified Bible for the same verses also emphasizes eating / partaking respectfully, even so, I agree with the logic of the Witnesses concerning the Two Hopes. Jesus when on earth preached 'the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near' which is very differant from his stressing that we pray for God's kingdom to come on earth. The Little Flock and Other Sheep are distinctly seperate groups, and although I'm not convinced that the Annointed were called exclusively first, I do believe the Annointed are the only ones Jesus made a 'covenant for a kingdom' and should be eating at the memorial.

  Hello Dragon.

  I agree that the Witnesses, especialy the GB are abusively narrow and controlling.

  Even so, concerning your questions about God and how He operates, my question for you is, "What is there about God and His actions do you like?" Satan is and promotes Lawlessness. Think about what Lawlessness taken to the farthest degree would mean. Not just a breakdown of human society but the end of ALL that exists, because everything exists because it is held together by Law. This is why I believe it is "impossible for God to lie" because that would mean the end of everything, including God Himself.

  I used to regularly see Witnesses going door to door or in a strip mall parking lot nearby. Now I very rarely see anyone. The local KH last year was sold to a Charismatic Christian Church too. Hmmmm...

  An important point I remember you making Blondie, about the Witnesses being an Old Testament religion. Your absolutely right, they wear a Christian label, not much more.

  Why do WTBTS fear apostates in light of Acts 5 vs 38-39

  (acts 5:38-39) 38 and so, under the present circumstances, i say to you, do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; 39 but if it is from god, you will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, you may perhaps be found fighters actually against god.

  .. so if the wts really belive they are from god, why fear apostates.

  if the wts is from men it will be overthrown.

  Why do they not practice this scripture?

  Because like the Jews of Jesus time, the leaders of the Witnesses after waiting almost 40 years then seeing 1914 fail to bring Armageddon, became the apostates begining right after Russell's death and continuing down to today. The only exceptions to this through the years have been those like Nicodemus (John 3: 1 and 2).

  Matthew 24: 48 ~ 51 Luke 12: 45 ~ 47

  Remember, Jesus was sent to "God's People." When He criticized and condemed them He was often criticizing and condeming those leading "God's Organization."

  The sincere people that closely follow and support the GB are trapped and dangerously misled.
